History of Solkope Island

The Dominion of Melchizedek acquired Solkope Island on the 21st day of January 2000 from the sole sovereign owner of the Island.

The irrevocable sovereign master lease consists of all the family rights, title and interest in Solkope being vested to the government of the Dominion of Melchizedek for a period of 99 years.

The lease also agreed that DOM develop the island and have all rights to govern its national affairs from Solkope.

In support of DOM's status over Solkope, the people of the Sovereign State of Rotuma incorporated the following in its' Constitution ;

16.02 Rotuma and its sovereign land owners may only grant sovereign status within Rotuma to the Dominion of Melchizedek by 99 years sovereign leases or other means, the government that has sponsored Rotuma in its quest for independence and is the first nation to recognize Rotuma as a Sovereign State with all of the rights to declare independence.

16.03 The Dominion of Melchizedek is granted by this constitution all of the rights that one state may enjoy within another state, like the Vatican enjoys within Italy.
