Vice-President Returns From Majuro With 
Historical Agreement

It is confirmed today that the Vice-President and Head of the House of Elders of DOM, Tzemach "Ben" David Netzer Korem has returned from the Marshall Islands after securing a historical agreement for DOM sovereign rights for Taongi. This new agreement now completes sovereign control over Taongi, until at least the year 2049.

The following speech was given by Iroijlaplap Remios Hermios of Taongi at Majuro for Melchizedek Television to be aired in the future:

"As the Iroijlaplap of the Northern Ratak Chain of the Marshall Islands, I am delighted to announce that on the 5th day of May 1999 we concluded our agreement for a 50 years master lease with the government of the Dominion of Melchizedek as we granted to Melchizedek, sovereign rights until the year 2049.

We are looking forward to witnessing the successful develop(ment) of Taongi Atoll by the nation of Melchizedek so that they will make it the next haven like Hong Kong.

The master lease is the culmination of the efforts of my predecessor, Iroijlaplap Murjel Hermios..  (He) granted in 1987 a 55 years power of attorney to Alab Robert Moore, which power of attorney for development rights was assigned to the Dominion of Melchizedek in May of 1997.

The Dominion of Melchizedek has my full blessings in their efforts to accomplish their goals for Taongi Atoll, which we believe will also in turn be a blessing to my trust beneficiaries within the Republic of the Marshall Islands."
