Revelation 16
Revelation 16
.
.
1 Now I perceived a great inner voice out of the presence of divine Mind which imparted to man's entire range of progressive thinking, "Your ways bring out the lessons of God's chastisements upon earthly lives."
1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
2 And the first stage of progressive thought went forth, bringing out its lessons upon earthly lives; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon men which had the mark of beastly lust, and upon those that worship its image.
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and [upon] them which worshipped his image.
3 Then the second stage of progressive thought brought out its lessons upon the surging concepts of error; and this became a source of death, as every human sense died in erroneous concepts.
3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead [man]: and every living soul died in the sea.
4 And the third stage, spiritualization by mental progress, brought out its lessons upon the flow of unformed thoughts, and the source of undivided concepts; and they appeared as a sacrificial view of life.
4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
5 Now I understood the lesson for dividing the spiritual real from the material unreal, which declared, "You are righteous, O divine Love, who unfolds the infinite now, because you have judged righteously.
5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
6 "For the worldly acted against the very lives of your saints and prophets, but you have returned unto them the forfeiture of their own lives, as they deserve."
6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
7 Then I discerned the focusing of ideas to impart, "Even so, divine Mind, the almighty I-am, true and righteous are your judgments."
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous [are] thy judgments.
8 And the fourth stage of human progress brought out its lessons to unveil "the symbol of Soul governing man^"; and power is given to progress which purifies with affliction.
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 Thereupon men were purified by great affliction, but blasphemed the character of Good which has power to reverse these afflictions; yet they repented not to give glory.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
10 And they cried out with power, declaring, "Salvation is of our God^ which is sovereign, and is of the 'spiritual idea of Love^.'"
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
11 And blasphemed the goodness of harmony because of their pains and sores, yet repented not of their deeds.
12 Then the sixth stage of progressive thought poured out its lessons upon the great flow of ideas which are found "encompassing the universe and man"; and the concepts of mortal mind evaporated, so that the way of the kings of wisdom^ might be prepared.
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I discerned three protoplasmic, pathogenic beliefs jumping out of the suggestions of sorcery's swollen lies, and out of the temptations of beastly lust, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, hypocrisy.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs [come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the evil beliefs of corporeal personalities working illusions which go forth to worldly leaders gathering them to the battle of that great enlightenment of divine Mind, the almighty I-am.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, Spirit comes as a thief; blessed is he that is sober and watchful and keeps his rightmindedness, unless he walk unprotected and be put to shame.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed [is] he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 Now they were gathered together unto the oneness of God, called in the Hebrew tongue "Armageddon," the highest level of spiritual struggle.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
17 And the completion stage of mental progress poured out its lessons onto the most ethereal forms of matter; then the eternal I-am, the inner voice, came to me guided by immortal sovereignty, imparting that it is done, the struggle is over.
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 Then there were the voices of corporeal communicators, and thundering, and a sharp surplus of lightning; and there was a great shaking of error's palpable forms, such as was not since mortal men dwelt upon error, so mighty a shaking, and so destructive that all passed away.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, [and] so great.
19 Now the great cities of sensualism and darkness were found to be divided three-dimensionally; and the cities of nations fell as great sin passed away in the presence of God, because of bitter sufferings and the affliction of chastisement.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every isolated and every predominant form of error was vanquished, and could not be found.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 When there fell upon mortal men a great hail of destruction by so-called natural law, they blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, as it was exceedingly great.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, [every stone] about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
