Revelation 14
Revelation 14
.
.
1 And, lo, I discerned that spiritual idea of Love commands the joy of the whole earth, and therewith were all the children of Israel expressing God's nature as coincidental with their foremost ideals.
1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
2 Then I understood the inner voice of harmony, as the voice of many notes imparted by Spirit - Truth's thunderous sermon; so I felt the ceaseless prayer of metaphysicians according to their practice.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the attractive force of sovereignty, addressed to the moral qualities of the people and their leaders; yet, no one could learn that song but those children of Israel, which were redeemed from the "deep darkness of belief".
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which overcome sensuousness, for they manifest purity. These are they which follow the innocence of Truth wherever it leads, who were redeemed from among the multitude, being the firstfruits unto eternal Life and its idea.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, [being] the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their speech no guile was found, for they are without fault before the sovereignty of Good.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
6 Thereupon I discerned another exalted ganglionic idea, eternalized, yet centered on harmony, bringing Science's everlasting gospel to preach to those that dwell on audible sin, including every nation, kindred, tongue and people, and,
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Revealing this magnificent message: Revere God, giving glory only thereto, for now righteous judgment is come. Worship divine Principle, the source of true government, and of the sphere of eternity, and of harmony, and the source of divine elements.
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another inner voice, imparting that Babylon is fallen, the great city of lust is fallen because she made all worldly so-called powers partake of the fermenting hatred of her fornication.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9 Now the spiritualization of thought followed, imparting this powerful message: If any worship beastly lust, the inverted image of Love, and receive its mark of sin on their foremost manner of thought, or in their belief of power,
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same will partake of the temptations which are chastised by Principle, subtly bringing about sufferings for both the moral and immoral, but the unrighteous will be remorseful and afflicted by purifying thoughts and by the presence of innocence.
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 Now Truth and Love which bring about their affliction, persists forever, there being no rest for the wicked who forsake not their ways, but continue to worship the object of lust, inverted image of Love, and who receive the mark of sin.
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12 The teachings of Jesus Christ call for patience by the saints and call for keeping the commandments of Good.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 So I understood the inner voice of harmony imparting to me, "Write for the divine Scientists: blessed are those to whom matter is lifeless, but nevertheless are embraced by divine Love from henceforth. "Yes," declared the divine Spirit, "they may rest in activity, as their works do follow them."
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed [are] the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
14 And discerningly I beheld a perfectly pure negation of Science, and upon this Science there was one like the Son of man, resting in action, having his consciousness crowned with priceless sovereignty, and by his reflected power dividing between the real and unreal.
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud [one] sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15 Then another message came to me from the temple of Mind, reaching the one who mastered the beclouded senses, and with a strong voice, declared, "Divide Truth from error, reaping understanding, for the time is come for you to realize that the culmination of sin's visible forms is ripe for elimination."
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16 So the one that masters the beclouded senses divided Truth from error; and the compound idea, earth, was freed from any forms of error.
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
17 And another intuition came to me from the harmonious presence of Mind; it also was an ever-present dividing of the word of Truth from error.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18 Yet even another message came to me within "the focus of ideas^," with power over fear, and ordered the veil of sensualism to be penetrated by spiritual strength, for the one that held the power to discriminate showed how rightly to separate and to gather the facts of being from divine Mind, as its fruitage is fully demonstrated.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19 Now that ever-present dividing by the word of Truth thrust into the "deep darkness^" of error, separating unreality from enlightened reality. So this great mental separation of the spiritual real from the material unreal, which actually never touch except in belief, is called the wrath of God.
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast [it] into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20 And the process of separating was not within the focal distance of the dwelling of lust, as a sacrifice of everything sensual resulted in the complete removal of sin.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand [and] six hundred furlongs.
