Revelation 8
Revelation 8
.
.
1 When the true idea of Principle uncovered evil's completion^ stage of righteous unfoldment, error was silenced^ as harmonious aspirations expressed God's equipollence^.
1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
2 And I discerned the completion^ stage of exalted thoughts^, subject to the power of God, to which was given the entire call of wisdom^.
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
3 Thereupon another idea was presented to the glory of Soul, dispensing a purifying change in the atmosphere of thought, and it was given it to fill the atmosphere of Soul by the prayers of all divine Scientists upon holy communion, subject to God's sovereignty.
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer [it] with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 So through chemicalization, which comes with scientific prayers, thought ascends by the attractive force of Mind, the power of the good Thinker.
4 And the smoke of the incense, [which came] with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
5 Now the ascending thought took the lesson of spiritual power and put it into practice with purification by the magnifying Spirit, and imparted it, transforming error's visible forms^ on the compound idea, earth^. This upheaval brought out disruptive agonies, and thundering, and lightning and earthquakes^.
5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast [it] into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
6 Then the highest, complete and perfect calls of wisdom cleared the way for sound thinking.
6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
7 So the first stage of sound thinking revealed mortal beliefs cast upon error's visible forms, and the three-dimensional manifestation was vanquished along with the very worthlessness of error's sowing.
7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
8 By purification, the second stage of sound thinking discerned a great obstacle removed, cast into oblivion, as its three-dimensional aspect was sacrificed;
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 The third-dimensional manifestations which were latent error but had apparent life (to human sense) died as the third-dimension of communion was self-destroyed.
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 So the third stage of sound thinking dawned, and there came from government by divine Principle a great star of Being, purifying as the source of enlightenment, and it came upon the third-dimensional channels of thought, and upon the foundation of living thoughts.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 Now the star of Being is called Bitter^, because eliminating the third-dimension of carnal thoughts is found to be bitter, and terrestrial minds must disappear because they made the human experience bitter.
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
12 As the fourth stage of sound thinking unfolded, the third-dimensional belief of Soul's movements governing man, along with the third-dimension of its reflected counterpart, and the third-dimensional belief of the sparkling ideas of Being were all smitten; since this third-dimensional aspect of them is darkness, enlightenment comes not through such an aspect, neither through any ignorance of it.
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
13 Then spiritually I discerned, and understood, an exalted thought beaming me to the midst of harmonious bliss, imparting a powerful message, "Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabitants of error's latent forms by reason of the other bright and clear calls of wisdom, spiritualized thought which is yet to dawn."
13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
