KING JAMES VERSION
Revelation 6
Revelation 6
.
.
1 Now I perceived when the Christ idea of Life uncovered the first of seven myriad illusions of error, and I heard, as an awesome roaring, one of the higher sentiments assert, "Come and discern."
1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2 So I discerned, and behold, a pure movement of God's government^ and one relying thereon, holding a ray of promise^, as immortal sovereignty amplified the purpose of that one, and with oneness of purpose, the same went out on conquest, and to conquer the "three in one of error^."
2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
3 And when the idea of Truth uncovered the second illusion of error, I understood another higher sentiment to assert, "Come up higher to discern."
3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
4 So there went out another movement from God's government - redemption - and power was amplified to the one relying thereon to take peace from the visible forms of error, so that error should destroy itself, and there was given to that one great justice.
4 And there went out another horse [that was] red: and [power] was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
5 When the idea of Love uncovered the third illusion of error, I understood another higher sentiment to assert, "Come and discern." And I beheld, and lo, another movement of God's government, absorbing all light, and one resting thereon held the equipollence of God's justice by reflected power.
5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I understood a voice in the midst of the higher sentiments to assert, "A measure of Science cannot be gained without a price, yet do not deplete harmonious inspiration, the source of supply."
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and [see] thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
7 So when the idea of Spirit had uncovered the fourth illusion of error, I understood another one of the higher sentiments to assert, "Come and discern."
7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
8 Then I discerned, and behold, a deflection of God's moving government, and the illusion thereof was called death, with self-imposed agony as its co-partner, and that reversal of power presided over the darkest visible forms of error, to kill with revenge, by their illusions of hunger and death, and by their visible forms of animal magnetism.
8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
9 And when the idea of Soul uncovered the fifth illusion of error, I discerned under the altar of divine Science the individuals that were slain, that is, to material sense, for uttering the word of God, and because of the proof of Truth to which they held fast;
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 Now they declared with a magnified voice, "How long, O Love, holy and true, will justice withhold the meaning of our sacrifice from those that dwell on error's visible forms^?"
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 But purity of Soul was the heritage of each one of them; yet they realized that they must wait for a little season until their fellow servants and brethren had sacrificed as they had, so that all might be fulfilled.
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they [were], should be fulfilled.
12 Then I beheld when the idea of Mind uncovered the sixth illusion of error, and lo and behold, there was breaking up of the visible forms of error, and the inverted symbol of Soul became as a black hole, absorbing all light, so when viewed through a polluted atmosphere, reflected light appeared as red clay, or erroneous Adam^.
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 So the brightness of harmony was found obscured by earthly concepts, even as the divine Principle of healing can appear to be shaken by animal magnetism's untimely blasts of malice.
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 Now the physical universe was rolled back, unveiling reality: the grand and noble ideas of Mind became apparent; each idea moved out of its former placement.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 Thereupon the vested interests of finite belief, and those who shape worldly opinion, and the financial interests, and the so-
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 Declaring, "Let the mass of materialism and its obstructions cover us so as to hide us from the appearance of Christ, Truth, which is empowered from on high, and hide us from destruction by Love's innocence."
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 Now the great enlightenment of God's reversal is "a present possibility^," for who will be able to withstand the power of Christ?
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
