THE MELCHIZEDEK BIBLE
KING JAMES VERSION
Revelation 5
Revelation 5
.
.
1 Spiritually I discerned a book written both about positive Truth and about its reversal, completely hidden from scholastic theology, but embraced by the omnipotence of divine Mind, resting on immortal sovereignty.
1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 Then I discerned an exalted thought, proclaiming with a bright and clear voice, "Who is able to open the book which uncovers 'the myriad illusions of sin, sickness and death^' with the truth thereof."
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 Now no semi-metaphysician, nor any dwelling on the visible forms of error, neither any spiritualist, was able to open the book, nor to discern its "scientific statement of being^."
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the book, neither to spiritually discern it.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 But one of their authorities said to me, "Weep not; behold the moral courage of man, the virtue of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to 'uncover the myriad illusions of sin, disease and death^' therein unveiled."
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 Thereupon I beheld in the presence of immortal sovereignty harmless human elements, and among the authorities stood the idea of Love, slain according to the corporeal senses. So the belief of having an evil mind in matter is erased by complete discernment of God's being^ which vanquishes all visible forms of error.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And Christ's Science came to interpret the Scriptures as revealed by the book through the power of omnipotence resting on immortal sovereignty.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 Now when the book of Christ's Science interpreted the Scriptures, the harmless human elements and theological authorities^ surrendered to the Christ idea of Love by tones of harmony and evocative, precious experiences which constitute the prayers of saints.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9 Thereupon they sang a new song, singing, "Divine Science is worthy to interpret the Scriptures and unveil error's illusions, for Love's idea was slain, according to corporeal testimony, yet has reconciled us to God by an unparalleled self-sacrifice for all mankind,
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 Having revealed to us our God as sovereign and ourselves as kings and priests^ after the Order of Melchizedek, reigning over the compound idea, earth.
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 So I beheld and I discerned many exalted thoughts surrounding their reflected sovereignty, their higher sentiments, and their leaders, whose number was countless,
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Declaring with a bright and clear message, "Worthy is Love's idea that has sacrificed to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory and blessings."
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
13 Now every idea which is in harmony with Science, and all who are earth bound, and all embracing false theology, and all tossed about by tempestuous error^, heard Spirit saying, "Blessing, and honor, and glory and power be to the one infinite Mind resting on immortal sovereignty, and to Love's idea for eternity."
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, [be] unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 Thereupon the harmless elements of human nature approved, and the Scriptural authorities surrendered all power to one infinite Mind which is Life eternal.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four [and] twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
