Revelation 4
Revelation 4
.
.
1 After searching, I beheld a way opened to harmony, and the first call of wisdom^ came as it were bright and clear, for Christ communed with me, revealing, "Come up higher, and Science will disclose the phenomenon which is to be hereafter."
1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door [was] opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard [was] as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2 Instantaneously I was embraced by Science; now, behold, immortal sovereignty is set in harmony as one infinite Mind manifests omnipotence.
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and [one] sat on the throne.
3 Therefore, the one infinite Mind manifesting omnipotence, viewed scientifically, lends precious enchantment; and in this perfect view there is a secret multicolored "bow of promise^" highlighting immortal sovereignty.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and [there was] a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4 Surrounded by immortal sovereignty were twenty-four authorities^, and upon those authorities rests both the old and new testaments, which bring forth clear and correct spiritual understanding, and whose character is precious.
4 And round about the throne [were] four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5 Now from immortal sovereignty proceeded words which burst forth, prompting latent evil to "utter the full diapason of secret tones^," which were purified by Truth advancing before the everlasting sovereignty of Principle, Mind, Spirit, Soul, Life, Truth, and Love.
5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and [there were] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 And before immortal sovereignty dawned, "tempest-tossed concepts^" were resolved into a crystallized state of consciousness. Now in the midst of holy sovereignty, and surrounding it, were four beastly^ concepts with the potential for the full range of spiritual discernment both as affirmation and denial.
6 And before the throne [there was] a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, [were] four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7 So the rising "scale of intelligence^" is marked firstly by moral courage^, secondly, by stern resolve^, thirdly, by uprightness, and fourthly, by "heavenly aspirations soaring beyond and above^" objective forms to divine dimensions.
7 And the first beast [was] like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast [was] like a flying eagle.
8 The harmless stages of human development lead to spiritual discernment, perfecting understanding of divine dimensions, while declaring without ceasing: holy, holy, holy, love God almighty, this is the word of eternity.
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about [him]; and [they were] full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9 Now when those discernments of character give glory and honor with thanksgiving to one infinite Mind, there is rest with Life's immortal sovereignty.
9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10 So the Scriptural authorities^ must submit to the reflection of only one infinite Mind, eternal sovereignty manifested by everlasting Life, and must throw down their earthly pride, to declare,
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 "The almighty One is worthy, O Love, to receive glory, honor, and power," for God reveals all phenomena, so for joy they are eternally revealed.
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
