The Melchizedek Bible
INTRODUCTION On the verge of a new millennium, we present the Melchizedek Bible. The Dominion of Melchizedek, an ecclesiastical sovereignty, defined in Holy Writ as a heavenly sent one world government, has adopted this work to be a useful tool in its mission of ushering in the coming millennium of peace and righteousness. One aspect of this work is to bring understanding and harmony between all monotheistic believers in the world. When first publishing the Melchizedek Bible in 1986, we found that readers of this work were curious as to its source, therefore in subsequent editions we include a piece about the authors following this Introduction. ON THE REAPPEARING OF THE MESSIAH We believe that the New Testament teaches that Jesus' successor will fulfill the prophecies about the coming messianic priest-king. With the Lubavitchers to our right, and the "Jews for Jesus" to our left, we are in the center of this issue. The New Testament teaches that Jesus was the prophet like unto Moses. Before Old Testament Joshua entered the promised land, Moses passed his authority and rulership over to Joshua, so that Israel would not be like sheep without a shepherd. And so the Spirit of Jesus taught in Revelation that the Overcomer continuing in Jesus' works would enter a new millennium with messianic rulership over the nations, sitting on the throne of David, bearing his "new name". The Great Shepherd? When blessing his sons, Israel pointed out that from Judah there would come a Shiloh to whom the people shall gather; but from Joseph would come the great shepherd. Moses' lineage did not trace to Judah, nor did Jesus' lineage trace to Joseph; and because Zechariah pointed to two anointed sons, i.e., messiahs, we believe that the Overcomer is from the line of Joseph, a branch of the "vine" that migrated to England, then "grew over the wall" to America. He is also Isaiah's branch that grew out of Jesse's roots, of the line of Old Testament King David. Keep in mind that both Revelation and Paul taught that Jesus was a "root" not a "branch". Jesus referred to himself as a vine, but his disciples he called branches. With this in mind, it seems clear that Jesus thought not of himself as the priest-king branch that Zechariah taught would build the temple of the Lord, but rather this niche in life was reserved for the Overcomer continuing in messianic works. Jesus taught that although John the Baptist was not Elijah, that he did fulfill the prophecy that Elijah would return. Think about this, if John could fulfill the prophecy that Elijah would return, why not the Overcomer fulfill the prophecy that Jesus will come again, remembering that Elijah worked many miracles, and departed into heaven alive. Jesus taught that Elijah would return again the third time. Perhaps the greatly revered Lubavitcher Rebbe represented Elijah as prophesied by Malachi. ON THE BUILDING OF THE TEMPLE We believe that the time has come for the building of the Lord's house as foretold by Isaiah, yet we will not establish it near the Islamic Dome of the Rock, but on a higher location. The Holy House will no longer be a place to sacrifice goats and sheep, but instead, the home of the Overcomer, and 24 elders, from where the nations may be guided. We invite you to join us in the building of the Lord's house. ON RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS Although we do conduct Melchizedekian Bible studies we have not attempted to form any "religion", but rather invite all religious groups to unite with us. All monotheistic religions stem from the blessing Abraham received from the priest-king of Salem, Melchizedek. ON POLYTHEISTIC RELIGIONS We have noticed that as these religions evolve, they have a tendency to discard their polytheistic beliefs. Contrariwise, some monotheistic religions have devolved into polytheistic and pantheistic teachings, inclusive of idolatry. ON JEWISH RELIGIONS We adore the sincerity of various Jewish spiritual organizations, while adhering strictly to monotheism, and keeping alive the Jewish traditions. The reputed founder of DOM encourages every Jewish person in this world to consider joining the Chabad movement. It can be argued that all monotheistic religions are Jewish. Why? Because Jesus was a Jew, therefore the religion he is claimed to have started, Christianity, is therefore Jewish, and he said that "salvation is of the Jews" and because Muslims accept that Jesus is the Messiah of God, born of a Virgin, therefore their Messiah too. Keep in mind that one can be Jewish by race (from the tribe of Judah) and/or by religion. We recommend that all monotheists accept their Jewishness and embrace it. If you would like to be officially converted into the Jewish religion, engrafted into the tree of Israel, please contact us via e-mail at be-jewish@melchizedek.com If you want salvation, seriously consider officially becoming Jewish, and begin learning the Jewish teachings and practices as taught by Jesus and his predecessor, Moshe of the house of Levi. ON THE CATHOLIC CHURCH We believe that this Church although having its roots in early Christianity, temporarily lost its direction upon being institutionalized by the Roman government. ON MOTHER TERESA Her life's work was a constant reminder of God's love for mankind. Her example is proof that the true spirit of Christianity can spring even from a church strangled by ecclesiasticism. ON ORTHODOXY We have discerned the devotion of the orthodox religions, and encourage orthodox leaders to continue vigorously leading their flocks to think and act righteously. ON THE MUSLIM RELIGIONS By bringing his brand of monotheism to polytheistic people, was Mohammed submitting to the will of God? He was attempting to bring Christianity back closer to its origin. Perhaps we could say that he was one of the first Protestants. ON THE PROTESTANT CHURCHES We believe that these churches being a protest to the institutionalization by Rome have helped to keep Christianity out of the grave. There has always been a "remnant" of true Christians of all denominations throughout the centuries that should not be associated with the crimes committed in the name of God by so-called Catholics and Protestants. ON CULTS Every religious organization contains some element of cult activity as can been seen from this definition found in the Chamber's 21st Century Dictionary: "a system of religious belief", and it is derived from two words, "worship" and "cultivate". We discourage people from labeling any group as a cult, since that word has been so widely misused. We encourage those who condemn other religions to spend more time emphasizing the aspects on which all religions agree, but wait on the "second coming" for the answers to the more difficult theological questions. Yet we also encourage every individual to diligently search the scriptures and "study to show thyself approved of God." ON JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES We admire their countless, zealous sheep eager to behold the earth full of His glory. ON THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS We admire their desire to do God's will in observing the Sabbath and their zeal for healthy dietary practices, yet Jesus taught that one should take less thought for how one's eating and drinking may affect oneself. The US government's response to their "Branch Davidian" spin-off is a strong sign of the times, and a clear conviction that non- Melchizedekian governments are incapable of governing with true love and care for the people. ON THE MORMON CHURCH We admire their sobriety and charity. We hope that their missionary endeavors will yield fruit as they put more emphasis on the old and new testaments, but less on the works of their founder. It is unfortunate that they consented to the US government's demand that they no longer practice polygamy, since the Bible in no way discourages such marital relationships between one man, unless he is a Bishop, and several consenting women. Jesus' teaching that to look upon another (man's) woman with lust in your heart, is an act of adultery, in no way suggests that a man may not have more than one wife, although he did teach that celibacy is a blessed state; and certainly fulfilling one's duties as a husband is demanding enough with only one wife. Big Al in Australia with his 9 educated and joyous wives and 63 happy children is an example of how it is possible for one man to have more than one wife at the same time. ON THE FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST, SCIENTIST It was not the desire of Mary Baker Eddy to found a new church, but that of her followers. In attempting to institutionalize the Science of Christianity, its potential has been temporarily diminished. Because those controlling Mary's writings have given themselves the authority to change her original words in various new printings of "Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures", it would be best to obtain authorized editions published just before her passing in 1910. We were told that if we removed any reference to Mary Baker Eddy and her writings from this work, certain individuals would distribute the Melchizedek Bibles by the truckload. Mary Baker Eddy has been so grossly misrepresented by some of her followers, and so completely slandered by her enemies that her true character is virtually unknown, and her writings avoided by the majority. First, it must be admitted that in the 1800's, the medical profession was then far less scientific. Mary Baker Eddy welcomed the advancement of new technology, and stated in her Prose Works, that if you turn to a doctor for help, be sure that he is a qualified physician. Mary turned to the Bible for comfort in 1866 as she lay dying after a serious accident. She attributed her miraculous recovery to reading the Bible, and thereafter set out to discover a Holy Science capable of healing mankind. If healing was not instant, she recommended the use of temporary relief when pain was unbearable, and that patients should undergo medical examinations to determine the status of a serious physical condition, having bones set, or surgical operations when necessary. Her primary work was to restore the healing element to Christianity, which was all but dead at the time of her discovery, although she thought of Christian Science more as a preventative than a curative. Certainly God has given us the intelligence to discover drugs like penicillin, but there should be concern that perhaps the cure is worse than the curse, because it encourages the one guilty of infidelity to increase his behavior, and venereal diseases to reappear in more alarming forms, such as the AIDS epidemic, killing innocent children. New strains of viruses and diseases such as TB that resist medication and antibiotics should cause us to think more about the long term affects of both illegal and legal drug use. With the passage of time it becomes clearer that Mary was correct in recommending more reliance on God and less on matter. Her revolutionary teaching that doctors and nurses must include love and a positive attitude toward the patient should be an established fact in the medical arts today. Without a doubt there is a connection between one's mental attitude and his physical health. In Mary's attempt to denounce the reality of evil, we believe that she was teaching the omnipresent omnipotence of God; teaching us to look forward to the day when good will have conquered evil in the thoughts and deeds of mankind; teaching us not to fear or actualize evil in our daily experience. – June, 1901 ON FINANCIAL HEALTH The Dominion of Melchizedek is in the process of forming the University of the Dominion of Melchizedek as a distant learning center on the Internet, so that classes may be taught covering this subject. Those who sign up for citizenship in the Dominion will be eligible to receive a DOM passport and a monthly distribution of Dominion Dollars through the Internet. ON AMBASSADORSHIP The Dominion is in the process of appointing Ambassadors-at-large to every community on earth. If you feel called to this position, we invite you to open a Legation in our name at your home or office only after submitting details of your life's record and qualifications for such a post. (See appendix for citizenship and passport application). We issue a handsome passport with the Seal of the Dominion of Melchizedek on the front cover. The New Testament teaches that the true believer is to be an Ambassador of the Messiah. David Evan Pedley wrote the preface, translated Genesis, Exodus, Matthew and parts of Revelation as his gift to the Dominion of Melchizedek. He also put together the Glossary, which we call the "Key of David." David's son, Ben David, translated the majority of Revelation, which David edited. For a subsequent edition of the Melchizedek Bible, David's son has translated Psalms, John, Hebrews and Galatians, which Ben David's father has not had the opportunity to edit. According to an affidavit signed by his mother, Pauline Ida Pedley, David was born in Daly City, California, on April 8, 1929, fathered by her husband, Lewis Logan Pedley, an English professor and son of a Pasadena Pharmacist. David's sister Jayne wrote that as a child, David spoke with authority on spiritual and other matters, and that she and their older brother Pierson Lewis Pedley were extremely jealous of David. At the age of 7, David lost his father Lewis. Pierson reported that while attending UCLA, David was able to earn straight A's without studying, yet Pierson found it necessary to struggle for good grades. David married Virginia in the year 1948. Virginia is the granddaughter through her mother Bessie Viola Wolf, of Rachel Diller and Jerome Wolf. It is believed that Jerome's father, Jacob Wolf, as an artist, painted ceilings of cathedrals in Germany. Virginia's father, Harry Earl Newkirk was the grandson of Samuel Newkirk and great-grandson of Jacob Newkirk. It is believed that their ancestors were builders of houses of worship in Estonia and Germany. To Virginia and David were born Jennifer Lynn, Mark Logan, Suzanne, Merri, and April. Mark's legal name is now "Tzemach 'Ben' David Netzer Korem", hereafter referred to as "Ben David". He was born in Griffith Park Maternity Home on July 19, 1953, and circumcised the 8th day by Dr. Shoenfeld, according to Hebrew tradition. During his twenties, David became an entrepreneur in the businesses of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, oil tools, and lock washers, etc.. He owned various private planes which he used for business and pleasure. In his early twenties, he went through class with Dr. Josiah Merriman, a doctor turned Christian Science Practitioner and Bible Teacher. Out of hundreds of students, David was Dr. Merriman's favorite. Dr. Merriman emphasized the importance of resurrecting the Dominion of Melchizedek from antiquity. An assignment given to David and passed on to Ben David. At the age of two, Merri, named after Dr. Merriman, drowned in the family swimming pool. David determined that she had no pulse and was breathless. She being miraculously brought back to life was attributed to David's efforts. After three days and nights of continuous sleep, Merri awoke speaking these words, "I drowned in the pool and saw God". David was considered a financial genius, able to resurrect public companies from their financial death, find endless loopholes in the legal systems, and purchase large corporations without paying any cash up front. His reputation as a financial miracle worker reached to the highest levels of American government, making him the target of incessant witch hunts, leading to numerous indictments issued by California and the USA in the early 70's. Perhaps the root of all of the evil unleashed on David was grounded in the book "The Fountain Pen Conspiracy" which falsely labeled David as the "world's greatest con man." David maintained his innocence always. While a fugitive, he introduced Ben David to the governmental principles of the "Sovereign Order of Melchizedek". His skill at remaining a fugitive almost equaled that of the Old Testament King David in as much as the FBI declared that they would have never located him if he hadn't run short of funds and been so loyal to keeping in contact with family members. However, if his destiny be fulfilled, his captivity was unavoidable, as much of the Old and New Testaments were written from prisons, and his ultimate work continued to be delayed while he enjoyed complete freedom. "He was numbered with the transgressors - for out of prison he cometh to reign." (See Isaiah 53 & Eccl. 4:14) David was incarcerated during the early 70's, receiving four false convictions as a result of various trials from coast to coast. David and Virginia divorced as a result, opening the way for Paz to marry David while he was still incarcerated. Paz was instrumental in David's ability to befriend the prosecutor in his New Jersey case, and other law enforcement officials. Paz translated from the Spanish language is "Peace" so as the word Salem translates from Hebrew into the English language as "Peace". David found an opportunity to convince the then Sacramento US Marshal, the Honorable Arthur Van Court, of his innocence while being escorted from New Jersey to the federal prison island in NcNeil, Washington. Because the US Marshal learned that David's prosecutor was under the (false) assumption that one of David's 12 co-defendants was the same person as a famous mob boss, he used that as an excuse to give David a new, convictionless identity under the name, David Wellington, because David had assisted the prosecution in resolving that case. The way he resolved what was considered New Jersey's largest fraud case, being perhaps the only innocent defendant, was to allow the court to convict himself, which enabled the prosecutor to dismiss the other defendants, since the prosecutor had a mandate to get at least one conviction after spending 8 years investigating and prosecuting the case. David legally reserved the right to withdraw his self imposed conviction, but was denied the opportunity. Instead of transporting David to McNeil Island, the Marshal stopped in Sacramento, and placed David in the Placerville, El Dorado Country Jail, where he could use an office and telephone. From that office David started a cattle business, which Ben David operated for him in Los Angeles, California. The US Marshal introduced David to a Deputy Attorney General of the State of California, Jerome C. Utz, who went to work reducing David's sentences. Upon his release in 1975, David invited Ben David to become his co-partner in an enterprise that by 1978 had acquired more than 19,000 acres of real estate in Northern California and built 30 houses in El Dorado County. In 1976 Ben David was wed to this first wife, Janith Marie Wardy. Janith gave birth on March 17, 1977 to Ben David's first son, David James Pedley. With the appointment of a new U.S. Marshal to Sacramento, the new Marshal set out to undo what the friendly Marshal had done for David, opening four years of grand jury investigations that resulted in the indictment of the Deputy Attorney General, David, Ben David, and Michael Cano. Michael Cano assisted in the building of the 30 houses. The press has related this case to "selling Sacramento suburbs they didn't own" when in fact that wasn't even a part of the indictment or conviction; however any knowledgeable investigative reporter can easily check the public records and find that the Pacific Park Properties, a California Partnership of David and Mark Wellington acquired upwards of 20,000 acres which included some 70-80 lots in El Dorado County, California, and 17,500 acres in Mendocino County, California. Among 400,000 documents the Grand Jury subpoenaed was a movie script that David and Ben David hired Kevin Jarre to write. The script, "Eternal War" was based on what the Deputy Attorney General claimed to be a true story about high level government corruption. Kevin, Ben David's Buckley High School friend, later became a world renowned sceen play writer, writing such movie scripts as Rambo II, Glory, Tombstone, The Devil's Own, The Day of the Jackal, and for "The Mummy" Kevin was one of the writers and the Executive Producer. With foreknowledge of an imminent indictment, during the summer of 1982, David and Ben David moved to Mexico in order to negotiate with the USA as free men. Upon their arrival in Mexico, David handed Ben David a commentary on the book of Job, and said, "For a better understanding of what you are experiencing, read Job." Like a devout Rabbi, David used every opportunity imaginable to pass onto his only son, his deep understanding of Holy Writ and the indispensable mission that would rest the Melchizedek government upon Ben David's shoulders. During their sojourn in Mexico, according to the FBI, David and Ben David founded a Saipan "Class A" Bank that helped Mexicans convert fast devaluating Pesos into more than $8,800,000 US Dollars. January of 1983. Ben David was arrested by Mexican immigration officials for not renewing his visa permit, and deported to the U.S. He was held for eleven months in San Francisco County Jail pending a lengthy and complex trial. During this time David surrendered to the Mexican authorities because he learned that they had captured Paz and were torturing her until she would disclose David's whereabouts. Paz asked the Mexican authorities what could possibly cause them to treat her so harshly, and the response came, "We are acting at the request of the American government." Soon after finding himself in Mexican custody, David finally began the task of translating the "New Tongue" versions of the Holy Bible, the work he promised Dr. Merriman decades earlier to begin. During that year, 1983, David began sending Ben David samples of his work on the Melchizedek Bible. During Ben David's lengthy trial of 1983, an expert witness testified that Michael Cano looked up to David as if he were a king, and that visiting David in prison would be like visiting Ghandi while he was in prison for attempting to set India free from foreign rule. The special prosecutor, Leslie "Pete" Hoffman III, who was sent from Washington DC to handle the trial in San Francisco, complained to the judge, the Honorable Thelton Henderson, about the fact that David was contacting witnesses from a foreign prison, offering them immunity from prosecution, if they would only tell the truth. Almost complete, the trial was halted when Judge Henderson was diagnosed as having cancer, and months latter was replaced with a retired traveling judge from Idaho. The special prosecutor convinced the jury that David was an extraordinary confidence man, and since he wasn't on trial, that his loyal son and friends should pay the price, although the jury was unable to reach unanimous verdicts concerning Michael Cano. Seven years after the conviction, the friendly US Marshal who was also a subject of the grand jury investigation that led to the indictment against David, Ben David, Jerome, and Michael, made history as the first Marshal to be presidentially appointed to a Marshal's post five times; and in response to questions from the Sacramento Bee, he declared that the "Pedley case was politically motivated." Ben David's public defender, Christopher Cannon appealed the conviction, however, the appellate court confirmed the conviction of David Wellington, who was not on trial, instead of Mark Wellington, which demonstrated that the appellate court didn't understand the case. Once this error was brought to their attention, without further ado, the court simply changed it from David Wellington to Mark Wellington without any explanation. Having been consolidated with the appeal of Jerome C. Utz, and quoting "facts" that where not presented at trial, the decision of the court read like an ugly joke. Because David was in custody in Mexico avoiding extradition, he did not stand trial with his son. During five years of incarceration in Mexican federal prisons, the Melchizedek Bible was written by hand, and then on a computer. Ben David was able to send the computer to David within months after being granted an appeal bond in November of 1983. See photo of David while in Mexico In Mexico City prisons, during 1984-5, the female prisoners were allowed on weekends to visit the male populated federal prisons. A young, beautiful Jewish woman, named Ruth met David on one of those visits. The two fell in love, and together David and Ruth befriended the Jewish Director of David's prison; therefore, David and Ruth were able to live together until her release in 1986 in an apartment designed for conjugal visits. The Jewish Director also allowed David for a short time to own and posses in that prison apartment a private mobile telephone. In that setting, David could work peacefully on the computer. When his appeal bond was revoked under the New Reform Bail Act of 1984, Ben David began to translate the book of Revelation in San Francisco County Jail. Perhaps a first in History, from the pay phone in his prison cell, Ben David was once able to call directly to David's private mobile phone in his prison suite in Mexico City. In 1985 Ben David escaped from Federal Camp Boron and its taskmasters in an attempt to return to his duties as the father of his two daughters, Rachael Grace and Yvonne Marie; but his then wife, Cynthia, in a successful attempt to diminish any punishment Ben David might receive for his escape, arranged for him to turn himself over to certain deputy US Marshals at a public park in San Francisco where he expected to meet her alone. Back in custody, completing his three year sentence in the Federal Correctional Institution of Safford, Arizona, Ben David finished translating the book of Revelation during the year 1985. Ben David sent the completed chapters of Revelation to David in Mexico where he typed them into his word processor. While typing in chapter eleven of Revelation, the great earthquake hit Mexico City. The official death toll was set at 7,000, which coincided with the 7,000 slain by a terrible earthquake in the eleventh chapter of Revelation. Neither father nor son taught that this is the fulfillment of prophecy, but it helped to remind Ben David of the time frame of his work. January 1986. Ben David was released to a half-way-house in San Francisco. Within ten days, Ben David, his sister Suzanne, their cousin, Brian Fisher, and the attorney for the Saipan Bank, Gjon Nivica were all arrested. Ben David was allowed to remain in the half-way-house pending their trial in Boston where he published the first edition of the Melchizedek Bible. In Boston during the summer of 1986, Ben David attempted to act as co-counsel in order to defend his father, since David was not there to defend himself, and Ben David was uncomfortable with his court appointed counsel. Ben David was denied his constitutional right to call witnesses, submit evidence, or even have his court appointed co-counsel examine him on the witness stand: therefore Ben David requested that the jury ask any questions they might have; however the judge didn't see the wisdom in that request. The jury unable to learn the truth, found Ben David guilty of the allegations concerning the bank's business of converting Pesos into Dollars; but Suzanne and Brian were found not guilty for lack of involvement in the activities of the bank. At sentencing, Ben David's co-defendant and the bank's attorney, eloquently explained to the sentencing judge that he came to realize that his involvement in representing the bank and his subsequent trial were certainly part of a divine plan. At a side bar, Ben David stated for the record that he felt the prosecutor, Dennis Kelly brought the indictment to steal the assets of the bank, since he was asking that the government keep those seized assets, and as an attempt to stop the publication of the Melchizedek Bible. The prosecutor did not deny these charges. Interestingly, Ben David asked that the face value $10,000,000 USD in State of Texas AAA bonds, a major asset of the bank, be submitted to the jury as evidence, yet the prosecutor objected that they were irrelevant, when in fact, in a civil case brought by creditors of the Saipan bank in the same Federal Court Building, the same prosecutor argued that the bonds couldn't be released to the creditors since they were needed for evidence in the pending criminal trial. An appellate lawyer was appointed to appeal that case, however only one of the panel of three judges in the Boston Federal Appeals Court found that the judge in that lower court, the Honorable David Mazzone should have taken measures to protect Ben David's constitutional rights during trial. The opening words in their decision were, "Money makes the world go round". During the Boston trial, David began to write a book called the "Burning Bush", and thereafter made his letters to Ben David more voluminous concerning spiritual matters. His last letter written a few days before the stock market crash of 1987, stated, "Dear son, I feel that I'm about to have a 'Jonah and the whale' experience." Before that letter made its long journey from Mexico City to Federal Prison in Ottisville, New York, Ben David had already received the devastating news through his uncle Pierson of notification by the US State Department concerning David's death. Copies of the "Burning Bush" and letters written by David to Ben David, hopefully will soon be made available on the Internet.. While at Ottisville, Ben David fasted forty days and nights. A closed casket funeral was held in Altadena, California three and one half days after David's death. At the funeral, two FBI agents approached the Pedley family requesting permission to fingerprint David. Permission was denied. Since December of 1991, Forbes magazine and many newspapers have reported that certain government regulators doubt that David is really dead. Perhaps they are correct, since good never dies. To add to the sensationalism, one British reporter even wrote that he thought that he witnessed the appearance of David while visiting Ben David. John Shockey when working for the OCC claims that they had David surrounded at a location in Florida, but he disappeared when they moved in to see him up close. Ben David was paroled in early 1990 from Walla Walla State Penitentiary to his then wife, Cynthia at Tahoe Vista, California where he was reunited with his daughters Rachel Grace and Yvonne Marie. On the bus ride from Walla Walla, Washington to California, Ben David received a revelation that he was to go by the "new name", Branch Vinedresser, which translates from his Hebrew name, "Tzemach Korem" which is a portion of his full legal and Hebrew name: "Tzemach 'Ben' David Netzer Korem." By inviting business men in 1990 to incorporate their businesses under the laws of the Dominion of Melchizedek, "Branch Vinedresser", caught the attention of the media. Articles began to appear in Europe, America, and Asia about the Dominion. Since Ben David's background was a complete mystery to the media, they were intrigued, and went so far as to write that the reputed leader of the Dominion, "inimitable religious and financial guru" "looks eerily like popular depictions of Jesus", "has the debating skills of a first rate trial lawyer, and a powerful command of financial tools," entitling some of the articles, "Father of His Country", "My Country T'is of Me", "King of the Seven Seas", and after his true identity was revealed, more recently, "The Ruse that Roared" resulting from the DOM's successful attempt to stop France from nuclear testing in the South Pacific Ocean by declaring spiritual war on France through the Washington Post. The Washington Post observed that the Dominion of Melchizedek "may be the ultimate post modern state." NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw proclaimed Dominion of Melchizedek to be the first nation on the Internet in conjunction with the Wall Street Journal's February 9, 1999 article, "a nation in cyberspace draws fire from authorities." By coincidence federal officials discovered in late 1991 that the mysterious Branch was born, Mark Logan Pedley, and because of their surprise over his becoming the intriguing figure that left them scratching their heads, they pressured his parole officer into revoking his parole. The grounds for revocation were based on alleged technical administrative violations, such as leaving the Central District of California without permission, which landed him another 8 months in custody. While being housed in a high rise federal prison during the first half of 1992, the LA riots broke out one block from that location, and Ben David's prison was violently shaken by the earthquakes of Joshua Tree, California. All-in-all, as a result of the financial, political and religious persecution following a partnership with his father, Ben David was housed in various minimum and maximum county, state, and federal prisons with every type of criminal and numerous falsely accused male and female prisoners. He read often, attended college courses, organized Bible studies, studied with the various religious groups, and played guitar and organ in several prison bands. Ben David's parole terminated in July of 1994, at which time he was faced with a shorter lived, but far more serious ordeal which ended after two cancer operations with a clean bill of health. He has since resumed traveling the world, visiting and assisting in the establishment of Dominion of Melchizedek legations. His DOM diplomatic passport has been stamped with entry permits by several foreign countries, including that of the USA. During the Spring of 1994 Ben David and Pearlasia experienced a cosmic wedding uniting their common interests in magnifying the Dominion for the benefit of mankind. On October 7, 1995 Pearlasia brought forth an heir to the Melchizedekian leadership; and Ben David named their son, "Hazemach" as his sole name, which translates into English, "The Branch". This birth was essentially marvelous, given the nature of Ben David's cancer operations and considering that Pearlasia was then 45 years of age. Pearlasia became the President of the Dominion of Melchizedek in the Fall of 1994.
