THE MELCHIZEDEK BIBLE KING JAMES VERSION
Matthew 21 Matthew 21
When they approached Jerusalem, arriving at Bethphage, on the mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, 1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
Instructing them, "Continue to yonder village, and there you will forthwith find a donkey tied, and her colt will be by her; loose her and bring them to me. 2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose [them], and bring [them] unto me.
"If anyone asks you about it, say, 'The Lord Jesus needs them,' and immediately they will be sent with you." 3 And if any [man] say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
All this happened in accordance with the fulfillment of the prophesy, 4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
"Tell the Daughter of Zion, 'Behold, your King comes to you, meek, and riding on a donkey with its foal^.'" 5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
Accordingly, as Jesus had instructed, the disciples went and did as he had directed. 6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
After bringing the donkey with its foal, they clothed them, and Jesus rode on them. 7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set [him] thereon.
At which a large multitude spread their garments along the way to show their respect for the Messianic King, while others cut down the palm trees' branches that point to heaven, and spread them along the way of victory^. 8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed [them] in the way.
And the multitudes that went before, and the Galileans that followed him, sang out in glory, "Hosanna to the son of David. Blessed is he who comes in the very essence of the Messiah, Hosanna in the highest!" 9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
When he entered Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, asking, "Who is this?" 10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
Yet the multitude agreed, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee." 11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
When Jesus entered the temple of God, he threw out all those who were merchandising in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those who sold doves. 12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
He then declared to them, "It is written, 'Where I dwell will be called the consciousness of prayer^'; but you make it a 'den of thieves^.'" 13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
The blind and the lame came to him at the gate of the temple, and he healed them. 14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
When the ecclesiastical chiefs and law clerks saw the wonderful things he did, and the children singing out in the temple, "Hosanna to the Messiah, son of David," they were very resentful. 15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased,
Thereupon they asked him, "Do you hear what they are saying?" And Jesus answered them, "Yes, have you never read, 'Out of the mouths of children and infants you have perfected praise?'" 16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
Then he left them and went out of the city to Bethany, where he lodged that night. 17 And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.
Now in the morning, as he was returning to the city, he became hungry. 18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
When he saw a fig tree on the way, he approached it, but although it had leaves, he found no figs. He then declared, "Forevermore let no fruit grow hereon!" And presently the fig tree began to wither away. 19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
When the disciples saw this event, they marveled, affirming, "How quickly the fig tree is withering away!" 20 And when the disciples saw [it], they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!
Then Jesus informed them, "I tell you with certainty, if your understanding is faithful, and if you doubt not, you will not only demonstrate what was done to the fig tree, but also, if you will say to this great mass of matter, 'Be removed and be resolved into thought', and it will be done. 21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this [which is done] to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
"Now all things, whatever you will understandingly ask in righteous prayer, you will receive." 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
When he entered the temple, the chief priests and the rulers over the people came to him as he was teaching, and asked, "By what authority do you do these things? And who gave you this authority?" 23 And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?
Answering them, Jesus said, "I will also ask you one question, and if you can answer me, I will likewise tell you by what authority I do these things. 24 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things.
"From whence was the baptism of John, from heaven, or of man?" Then they reasoned among themselves, saying, "If we answer from heaven, he will ask us, 'Why did you not then believe him?'" 25 The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?
"But, if we answer, 'Of men,' we fear the people, for they all believe John was a prophet." 26 But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.
So they answered Jesus, saying, "We cannot tell." Then he retorted, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things. 27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
"Yet how do you reason? A father communed with two of his children, and coming to the first, he said, 'Son, sow and reap today in my vineyard.' 28 But what think ye? A [certain] man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
"He answered, saying, 'I will not,' but afterward he changed his mind and went. 29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
"Then the Father came to the second, making the same request. And he answered, saying, 'I will go, sir,' but he did not go. 30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I [go], sir: and went not.
"Which of the two did the will of his father?" They replied to him, "The first." Jesus poignantly told them, "I tell you truly, that the traitors and the harlots enter God's kingdom before you. 31 Whether of them twain did the will of [his] father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
"For John came before you in the way of righteousness, but you did not believe him; yet traitors and harlots believed him, and even after you had seen it, you did not repent, so you might have believed him. 32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen [it], repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
"Hear another parable: There was a certain householder (God), which planted a vineyard (the people), and hedged it round about (with spiritual law), and dug a winepress in it (an altar), and built a tower (watchtower or temple), and entrusted it to husbandmen (priests), and went into a far country (outside of physical perception, where only infinite Mind dwells). 33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
"And when the time of harvest drew near (a spiritual harvest resulting from obeying the commandments and practicing virtue), he sent his servants (prophets) to the husbandmen (priests), that they might receive the fruits of it. 34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.
"And the husbandmen (priests) took his servants (prophets), and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. 35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
"Moreover, he sent other servants (prophets) more than the first, and they were treated likewise. 36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
"But last of all, he sent to them his son (Jesus, the Messiah), saying, 'They will give my son reverence.' 37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
"But, when the husbandmen (priests) saw the son (the Messiah), they said among themselves, 'This is the heir, come, let us kill him, and let us seize his inheritance.' 38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
"When they caught him, they cast him outside of the vineyard, and slew him. 39 And they caught him, and cast [him] out of the vineyard, and slew [him].
"Therefore, when the Lord (God) of the vineyard (people) comes, what will be done to those husbandmen (priests)?" 40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
They replied to him, "He will miserably destroy those wicked men (priests), and will provide for his vineyard (people) saintly husbandmen (stewards), who will share their fruits at harvest time." 41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out [his] vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
Jesus proclaimed to them, "Did you not read in the Scriptures, 'The Truth which was rejected by those building heavenward, the same has become the leaven of purity'; this is Mind's activity, and it is marvelous to our discernment? 42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
Therefore I make this declaration, "The sovereignty of infinite Mind may seem impractical to you, but ultimately true sovereignty shall be expressed by Melchizedekians."^ 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
"Whoever finds this Truth, finds their self-will broken; but whenever one's self-will is reproached by this Truth, it will be ground to nothingness." 44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke of them and of their ritualism and hypocrisy. 45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.
But when they sought to find a way to arrest him, they feared the multitude, because it was believed that he was a prophet. 46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
