THE MELCHIZEDEK BIBLE KING JAMES VERSION
Matthew 20 Matthew 20
"For the realm of harmony is shown by one who is a metaphysician, who began early in enlightenment to engage workers for harvesting in God's vineyard. 1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man [that is] an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
"And when he had agreed with the workers for a certain enrichment, he sent them into Mind's vineyard to harvest. 2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
"With a rising discernment of the harvest, the metaphysician saw others remaining idle in the realm of consciousness, 3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
"And said to them, 'Also harvest in God's vineyard, and righteous Being will enrich you.' And they entered according to their way. 4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.
"Again the metaphysician went out at each rising discernment of the harvest, and likewise engaged more workers. 5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
"And even at the last moment, the metaphysician went out again, and found others remaining idle, and asked them, 'Why are you idle when there is a bountiful harvest?.' 6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
"They replied, 'Because no one has engaged us.' Then they were told to also work in the vineyard, and they would be righteously enriched. 7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, [that] shall ye receive.
"So when even was come, the Master of the vineyard said to the metaphysician, 'Call the workers and give them their reward, beginning from the last unto the first.' 8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them [their] hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
"Now when those who had been engaged at the last moment came to be paid, they received the same reward as everyone else. 9 And when they came that [were hired] about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
"And when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more, but everyone received the same reward. 10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
"When they had received it, they complained to Mind's steward. 11 And when they had received [it], they murmured against the goodman of the house,
"Saying, 'These last have worked only for the final moments, and you have made them equal to us, who have carried the burden and heat of the day.' 12 Saying, These last have wrought [but] one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
"Thereupon the steward answered one of them, saying, 'Friend, you have not been wronged; did not you agree with me for a certain enrichment? 13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
"'Go in the right spirit, and take your divine enrichment, which the forever I-am also provides to this last, even as to you, without regard to the illusion of time. 14 Take [that] thine [is], and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
"'Is it not according to Principle for me to do whatever is appointed with that which is entrusted to me? Is not a self-seeking ego evil, as the almighty I-am is good?' 15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
"So the last of error is the first of the true man, and the first true man is the last of error; for many are called, but only those who turn from error can be accepted." 16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
And Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took his twelve disciples aside privately along the way, and told them^, 17 And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,
"Look, we are going up to Jerusalem where the Son of man will be betrayed into the grasp of ecclesiasticism and regulatory authorities, and they will condemn him to death^, 18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,
"And will deliver him to the heathen to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him, and the third day he will again present himself alive^." 19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify [him]: and the third day he shall rise again.
Then the mother of Zebedee's children came to him with her sons, worshipping him, and asking a certain favor of him. 20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping [him], and desiring a certain thing of him.
And he inquired of her, "What do you wish?" Answering him, she said, "Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on your right hand, and the other on the left, in your harmonious realm." 21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.
But Jesus answered, saying, "You do not know what it is that you are asking. Are you able to drink of the cup from which I must drink, and to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?" They replied to him, "We are able." 22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
Then he said to them, "You will indeed drink of my cup, and be purified as I am purified, but to dominate the source of all false thought, and secondarily dominate its visible forms, is not mine to grant, but it is to be given to those who are prepared by my parental Principle." 23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but [it shall be given to them] for whom it is prepared of my Father.
When the other ten disciples heard of it, they were indignant toward the two brothers. 24 And when the ten heard [it], they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.
But Jesus summoned them to him, and said, "You know that the rulers of the Romans exercise dominion over them, and high officials exercise authority over them. 25 But Jesus called them [unto him], and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
"Yet it must not be so with you, but whoever will be great among you, let him be your teacher; 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
"And whoever will be chief among you, let him serve you, 27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
"Even as the Son of man came not to be taught by you, but to teach, and, instead of giving many lives to win release from the claims of erring sense, to give up only his sense of life." 28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
As they departed from Jericho, a large multitude followed him. 29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
And, behold, two blind men were sitting by the wayside, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, they shouted, "Have mercy on us, O Lord, offspring of David!" 30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, [thou] Son of David.
But the multitude rebuked them, that they should be quiet, yet they pleaded even louder, screaming, "Have mercy on us, O Lord, son of David!" 31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, [thou] Son of David.
So Jesus stood still and called to them, inquiring, "What do you wish me to do for you?" 32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
They told him, "Lord, that our eyes may see." 33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
Then Jesus felt compassion for them, and as he reversed their concept of vision, immediately their eyes received sight, and thereafter they followed him. 34 So Jesus had compassion [on them], and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
