THE MELCHIZEDEK BIBLE KING JAMES VERSION
Matthew 15 Matthew 15
Then the scribes and Pharisees came from Jerusalem to Jesus, asking^, 1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
"Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders by not washing their hands before they eat bread^?" 2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
And he replied, "Why do you also break God's commandment with your tradition^? 3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
"For God commands: Honor your father and mother, for the life of whoever curses father or mother will be shortened^. 4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
"But you say, 'Whoever will say to their father or mother, I vow not to accede to any duty wherein you might profit by me^'; 5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to [his] father or [his] mother, [It is] a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
"Thereby they will be free from the duty to honor their father or mother. So you have made God's commandment of no effect by your tradition^. 6 And honour not his father or his mother, [he shall be free]. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
"You hypocrites, Isaiah^ correctly prophesied about you, saying^, 7 [Ye] hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
"'This people draw near to me with their speech, and honor me with their words, but their intent is far from me^. 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with [their] lips; but their heart is far from me.
"'They worship me in vain, as their teachings are no more than the doctrines of men^.'" 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.
Jesus summoned the multitude, and said to them, "Hear, and understand^: 10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
"That which goes into the mouth of a person does not render that individual unclean; but that which comes out of the mouth can render the person unclean^." 11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
Then his disciples approached and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended after they heard you say this^?" 12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
But he answered and said, "Every idea of which my all-harmonious Principle is not the noumenon, will be rooted up^. 13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
"So let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if the blind guide the blind, both will ultimately stumble and fall^." 14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Then Peter inquired of him, "Would you be so kind as to explain this parable^?" 15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
And Jesus replied, "Are you still without understanding^? 16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
"Do you still fail to understand that whatever enters in at the mouth goes into the body only to be cast out by the body^? 17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
"But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from thinking which can render one unclean^. 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
"For out of the carnal mind proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies^. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
"These are the things which defile an individual, but to eat with unwashed hands does not render one unclean^." 20 These are [the things] which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
Then Jesus went from there departing for the coasts of Tyre and Sidon^. 21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
And, behold, a Canaanite woman coming from the same coasts cried to him, said, "O Lord, son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is grievously vexed with an evil^." 22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, [thou] Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
But he answered her not a word. So his disciples approached to beseech him, saying, "Grant her plea; for she troubles us with her anguish^." 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
He then informed them, declaring, "I am only sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel^." 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Then while worshipping him, she asked pleadingly, "Lord, help me^." 25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
But he replied, stating, "It is not proper to take the children's bread, and toss it to their dogs^." 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast [it] to dogs.
So she responded, "True, Lord, yet the household dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table^." 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
Then Jesus answered her, "O woman, great is your faith; let it be even as you desire." And her daughter was healed that very hour^. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great [is] thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Thereafter Jesus departed from there to come near the sea of Galilee, and scaled the heights of Mind, where he was at rest^. 29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
Now great multitudes came to him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, to bring them before Jesus' spiritual understanding which healed them^, 30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them [those that were] lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:
Insomuch that the astonished multitude pondered when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see; and they praised the God of Israel^. 31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
After Jesus summoned his disciples to come to him, he said, "I have compassion for this multitude, because they have stayed with me three days, but now they have nothing to eat, and I do not wish to send them away hungry, lest they collapse on their way back^." 32 Then Jesus called his disciples [unto him], and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
Then the disciples asked him, "How could we have enough bread in this solitary place so as to feed such a multitude^?" 33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
But Jesus asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they replied, "Seven, plus a few small fish^." 34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
Thereupon he commanded the multitude to repose engrounded on his spiritual example^. 35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
Giving thanks that divine Mind includes complete sustenance, he opened an inexhaustible perception of Mind's elements for them; then with a clear discernment of substance, he gave the loaves and the fish to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude^. 36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake [them], and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
So they partook until they were filled, holding onto their faint cognition of the completeness of his abundant love^. 37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken [meat] that was left seven baskets full.
The number of those who ate was four thousand men, not counting women and children^. 38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.
After he sent the multitude away, he left by ship to arrive at the coasts of Magdala^. 39 And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.
