THE MELCHIZEDEK BIBLE KING JAMES VERSION
Matthew 7 Matthew 7
"If you judge not, then you will not be judged^. 1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
"For in the manner of judgment you judge, you will be judged, or with what measure you measure, it will be likewise measured to you again^. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
"And why do you behold the fault of your brother's viewpoint, but consider not the outrageous misconception of your own viewpoint^. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
"Or how will you say to your brother, let me correct your faulty viewpoint, and behold, an outrageous error beclouds your viewpoint^? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?
"You hypocrite, first correct the enormous error of your own viewpoint, and then you will see clearly to cast out the fault from your brother's viewpoint^. 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
"Do not reveal that which is holiest to dullards, neither cast your highest truths before the unclean, lest they profane what you offer them and assail you with ridicule. 6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
"Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; persist, and you can enter^. 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
"For everyone that asks, will receive; and he that seeks, will find; and to anyone that persists, the way is revealed^. 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
"Who is there among you that will give a stone to your child when asked for bread? 9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
"Or if asked for a fish, will give a serpent? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
"If you, being in the midst of evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your harmonious Principle reveal goodness to whoever seeks it^. 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
"Therefore, whatever you would want others to do to you will guide you in that which you should to do for them, for this is the summation of the law and of the teachings of the prophets. 12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
"Begin with a right premise, for if the premise is incorrect, erroneous is the conclusion that leads to destruction, and many there be which begin incorrectly. 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
"When the premise is right, correct is the conclusion which leads to life, but few there be that find it. 14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
"Beware of hypocrites, which come to you adorned as innocents, but inwardly their lust is ravening, and they are plagued by guilt and error. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
"You will know them by their works. Do men gather grapes of thorns, and figs of thistles? 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
"Even so, every good idea brings forth good results, but a corrupt concept brings forth corruption. 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
"A good idea cannot not bring forth evil results, neither can a corrupt concept bring forth good results. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
"Every concept that brings not forth good works is brought down by the proof of experience. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
"Wherefore, by their works you will know them. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
"Not everyone that speaks correctly of the Lord will enter into spiritual harmony, except for the one whose will is the very will of our all-harmonious Parent. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
"In that day, many may speak to me correctly of the Lord, saying, "Have we not prophesied in your name, and in your name have cast out evils, and in your name achieved many wonderful things?" 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
"But then I will profess to them, 'I never knew you, depart from me, iniquitous workers.' 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
"Therefore, whoever hears these teachings of mine and observes them, I will compare that one to wisdom, who built consciousness on Truth. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
"So when distresses descend, and the tempests and malice come, beating upon that consciousness, it will withstand and fall not, for it was founded upon Truth. 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
"But everyone that perceives these teachings of mine, yet keeps them not, is compared to a foolish one, who built consciousness on the shifting doctrines of human belief. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
"And when distresses descend, and the tempests and malice come, beating against that consciousness, it will fall, and great will be the failure of it." 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
When it came to pass that Jesus had ended his teachings, the people were astonished at his doctrine. 28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
For he taught them as one having divine authority, and not as one of their ecclesiastically authorized teachers. 29 For he taught them as [one] having authority, and not as the scribes.
