THE MELCHIZEDEK BIBLE KING JAMES VERSION
GENESIS 48 GENESIS 48

It was some time after the famine that Joseph was told his father was sick. When he went to his father's bed, he took his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim, with him to his father. This part of KING JAMES VERSION will be added later on.
So Jacob heard that his son Joseph was coming, he, Israel, strengthened himself to sit up in bed. .....
And Jacob related to Joseph, "God almighty revealed to me the source of Life when I was dwelling in a low state of consciousness, and I was glorified. .....
"It was revealed to me that I will be fruitful, manifesting God's power, and a multitude of people will be patterned after me; also this state of mind will be given to my offspring forever. .....
"Now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born to you in the state of Egypt, before I came to you, are as though they were mine, just as Reuben and Simeon are mine. .....
"And your children, which may be born to you hereafter, will be yours, and will be accounted for in their inheritance through their brothers. .....
"But as for me, when I came from Padan, your mother Rachel died on the way in the state of Canaan, when there was yet a little way to go to Ephrath, which is known as Beth-lehem." .....
And when Israel beheld the sons of Joseph, he asked, "Who are these?" .....
Joseph answered his father, "They are my sons whom God has given me even in this place," and Israel said, "Bring them, please, to me, and I will bless them." .....
Now the eyesight of the aged Israel was failing, so that he could hardly see. So when the children were brought near him, he kissed them and embraced them. .....
Israel said to Joseph, "I had not expected to see you again, and now God has even shown me your children also." .....
Joseph brought them out from between Israel's knees and yielded completely to tradition. .....
So Joseph took them both, Ephraim by his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh by his left hand toward Israel's right hand, to bring them nearer to him. .....
But Israel placed his right hand on Ephraim's head, even though he was the younger, and he placed his left hand on Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn. .....
And he blessed Joseph, saying, "God, by whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac were directed, the God which supplied my needs all my life until this very day, .....
"And the thoughts of God that did protect me from all evil, bless the lads; and let the nature of Israel be upon them, and the spiritual nature of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them manifest God's power in the sphere of divine activity." .....
When Joseph saw that his father directed his reflected power upon the receptive thought of Ephraim, it upset him, and he interrupted his father, to correct him by directing him to Manasseh. .....
About which Joseph said to his father, "Not so, my father, for this is the firstborn, direct your attention to him first." .....
But his father refused, and said, "I know it, my son, I know it, he will also become a great people, but certainly his younger brother will be more powerful than he, and his offspring will become a united multitude of states^." .....
And he blessed them that day, saying, "In Joseph is Israel blessed, may God make the children of Israel as Ephraim and as Manasseh," and he set Ephraim before Manasseh. .....
Then Israel said to Joseph, "I am about to finish my pilgrimage in the earthly senses, but, may God be with you, and bring your offspring out of the land of darkness to the state of mind enjoyed by your fathers. .....
"Moreover, above your brothers, I have given you Shechem which was taken by force from the bitter Amorites. .....
