GENESIS 36

1 The descendants of Esau, who is also known as Edom, are these:	This part of KING JAMES VERSION will be added later on.
2 Esau married the women of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon the Horite^,	.....
3 And Bashemath the sister of Nebajoth and granddaughter of Abraham by Ishmael.	.....
4 Now Adah had Eliphaz with Esau; and Bashemath had Reuel;	.....
5 And Aholibamah had Jeush, Jaalam and Korah; these are the sons of Esau, which he fathered in the land of Canaan.	.....
6 Esau took his wives, his sons and his daughters, and all the members of his household, along with his cattle and all his livestock, and all the goods which he had acquired in the land of Canaan, and moved away from his brother Jacob to another area.	.....
7 For their livestock had increased so much that they had difficulty in dwelling together, and the land in which they dwelt could not support them because of the number of their cattle.	.....
8 Thus Esau settled by Mount Seir^; Esau was also known as Edom.	.....
9 And these are the descendants of Esau, the father of the Edomites who settled by Mount Seir;	.....
10 The names of Esau's sons are these: Eliphaz his son with his wife Adah, Reul his son with his wife Bashemath.	.....
11 Eliphaz' sons were Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam and Kenaz.	.....
12 Now Esau's son Eliphaz had a concubine whose name was Timna, and with her Eliphaz fathered Amalek, and that accounts for the grandsons of Adah Esau's wife.	.....
13 And the sons of Reul are these: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah; and this accounts for the grandsons of Bashemath Esau's wife.	.....
14 And Esau's wife Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah and the granddaughter of Zibeon gave birth to Jeush, Jaalam, and Korah.	.....
15 The sons of Esau were dukes, whose names were: Teman, Omar, Zepho and Kenaz who were the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau.	.....
16 And also there were Korah, Gatam and Amalek who were also the dukes that Eliphaz fathered in the land of Edom; these were the grandsons of Adah.	.....
17 And Esau's son Reul fathered these sons: Nahath, Zerah, Shammath and Mizzah; these were the dukes Reul fathered in the land of Edom; these were the grandsons of Bashemath Esau's wife.	.....
18 And Esau's wife Aholibamah had these sons: Jeush, Jaalam and Korah; these were the dukes that Esau fathered with Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.	.....
19 These were the sons of Esau, who was also known as Edom, including those who were dukes.	.....
20 Now the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the region, were: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon and Anah.	.....
21 And Dishon, Ezer and Dishan; these were the Horite dukes from the sons of Seir in the region of Edom.	.....
22 Hori and Hemam were the sons of Lotan, and Lotan's sister was Timna.	.....
23 And Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho and Onam were the sons of Shobal.	.....
24 And these were the sons of Zibeon: Ajah and Anah; Anah was the one who found hot springs^ in the wilderness while he was feeding the donkeys of Zibeon his father.	.....
25 Dishon was the son and Aholibamah was the daughter of Anah.	.....
26 And Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran and Cheranthese were the sons of Dishon.	.....

28 And Uz and Aran were the sons of Dishan.	.....
29 These were the Horite dukes: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,	.....
30 Dishon, Ezer, Dishan: these were the dukes that came of Hori; in the land of Seir these sons were recognized as dukes.	.....
31 These monarchs reigned in the region of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel.	.....
32 Now Bela who was the son of Beor reigned in Edom; his city was called Dinhabah.	.....
33 When Bela died, Jobab, who was the son of Zerah from Bozrah, succeeded him.	.....
34 And when Joab died, he was succeeded by Husham from the Temanite region.	.....
35 When Husham died, Hadad, who was the son of Bebad and who defeated Midian in Moab, succeeded him; his city was called Avith.	.....
36 After Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him.	.....
37 When Samlah died, Saul from Rehoboth by the river succeeded him.	.....
38 And when Saul died, Baalhanan, who was the son of Achbor, succeeded him.	.....
39 When Baalhanan son of Achbor died, Hadar succeeded him. His city was called Pau, and his wife was called Mehetabel, who was the daughter of Matred and granddaughter of Mezahab.	.....
40 Now Esau's descendants were dukes and these were their tribes according to their regions and names: Timnah, Alvah, Jetheth,	.....
41 Aholibamah, Elah, Pinon.	.....
42 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,	.....
43 Magdiel and Iram; so these were the dukes of Edom, according to their abodes in the lands which they held: Esau is the ancestor of the Edomites.	.....
