| 1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old,
appearing to him - as divine revelation - was this truth,
"I-am^ is the almighty God; coincide therewith and
be perfect. |
And when Abram was ninety
years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said
unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be
thou perfect. |
| 2 "I will make a covenant between us, and
will multiply your progeny exceedingly." |
And I will make my covenant
between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. |
| 3 Thereupon Abram fell in reverence, as his
thought touched the infinite, revealing to him, |
And Abram fell on his face:
and God talked with him, saying, |
| 4 "As for me, behold, this is my covenant
with you, your model of mentality will be the
life-preserving power of many nations. |
As for me, behold, my
covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many
nations. |
| 5 "Neither will your name anymore be called
Abram, for many nations will show forth your nature in
the power of spiritual understanding, your faith in the
eternal Principle of Being, so you will be called
Abraham. |
Neither shall thy name any
more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for
a father of many nations have I made thee. |
| 6 "Now I will make you exceedingly
fruitful, making nations of you, and kings will proceed
from you. |
And I will make thee
exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and
kings shall come out of thee. |
| 7 "My covenant will be established between
us, and with your chidren after you in their generations,
for an everlasting covenant as your God and your
children's God. |
And I will establish my
covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in
their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a
God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. |
| 8 "And I will give to you, and to your
children after you, a state of mind wherein you are a
stranger, but which enables you to exclude the great
negation, for an everlasting possession; and the almighty
I-am will be seen as their God and your God." |
And I will give unto thee,
and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a
stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting
possession; and I will be their God. |
| 9 God also revealed to Abraham, "You must
therefore keep my covenant, you, and your children after
you in their generations. |
And God said unto Abraham,
Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed
after thee in their generations. |
| 10 "This is my covenant with you, which you
and your children after you will keep: every male
reproductive false belief among you must be severed. |
This is my covenant, which
ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after
thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. |
| 11 "And you will sever the fleshly belief
betokened by its attending foreskin, which will indicate
the covenant between us. |
And ye shall circumcise the
flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the
covenant betwixt me and you. |
| 12 "The one that is cleansed of 'the foul
senses within' is purified among you, including every
male reproductive false concept in your belief of
generations, and the beliefs embraced by your thought, or
brought into your consciousness from any source which is
not spiritual. |
He that is born in thy
house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs
be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh
for an everlasting covenant. |
| 13 "That which proceeds from your conscious
perception, and that which is brought into your thought,
must be purified, for my covenant will negate your
fleshly beliefs as an everlasting promise. |
And the uncircumcised man
child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised,
that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath
broken my covenant. |
| 14 "As for the unpurified male reproductive
concept whose fleshly belief of the foreskin is not
severed, that sense will be cut off from its people since
it has broken my covenant." |
And the uncircumcised man
child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised,
that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath
broken my covenant. |
| 15 Also, God revealed to Abraham, "As for
Sarai your wife, you will not call her name Sarai, but
Sarah will her nature be. |
And God said unto Abraham,
As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name
Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. |
| 16 "And I will bless her, and give you a
son also with her; yea, I will bless her, and she will
perceive the motherhood of nations; kings of people will
be her spiritual perception." |
And I will bless her, and
give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and
she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall
be of her. |
| 17 Then Abraham fell in reverence, and rejoiced,
while pondering in his heart, "Could a child be born
to him that is an hundred years old? And will Sarah, who
is ninety years old, bear a child?" |
Then Abraham fell upon his
face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child
be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall
Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? |
| 18 Then Abraham prayed to God, "O that
Ishmael might fulfill your blessing!" |
And Abraham said unto God, O
that Ishmael might live before thee! |
| 19 But God revealed, "Sarah your wife will
indeed bear you a son, and you will call his name Isaac^,
by whose joy man and woman are constituted, and I will
establish my covenant with him for an everlasting
promise, and with his children after him. |
And God said, Sarah thy wife
shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his
name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for
an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. |
| 20 "As for Ishmael, the only I-am knows
your desire, and lo, I have blessed him, making him
fruitful and will increase his numbers exceedingly;
twelve masters will proceed from him, and I will make of
him a great culture. |
And as for Ishmael, I have
heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him
fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve
princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great
nation. |
| 21 "But my covenant I will establish with
Isaac, which Sarah will bear to you at the set time in
the next year." |
But my covenant will I
establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at
this set time in the next year. |
| 22 At which the revelations to him were
finished, as the very Mind of God had dwelt with Abraham.
|
And he left off talking with
him, and God went up from Abraham. |
| 23 So Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all
males upon whom his thought rested, and all that was
brought into his household, every male among the men of
Abraham's influence, and severed the fleshly belief of
their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had revealed
to him. |
And Abraham took Ishmael his
son, and all that were born in his house, and all that
were bought with his money, every male among the men of
Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their
foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him. |
| 24 Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he
realized to purify the fleshly belief of procreation
betokened by his foreskin. |
And Abraham was ninety years
old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his
foreskin. |
| 25 When Ishmael was thirteen years old, his
fleshly belief of procreation, betokened by the foreskin,
was severed. |
And Ishmael his son was
thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh
of his foreskin. |
| 26 In the selfsame day Abraham's belief of
fleshly procreation was purified, and his son Ishmael
with him. |
In the selfsame day was
Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son. |
| 27 All the men upon whom his thought rested, and
all brought forth as consciousness with him, and brought
under his influence, were likewise purified with him. |
And all the men of his
house, born in the house, and bought with money of the
stranger, were circumcised with him. |
