| 1 After these things Abram was
inspired to discern the word of the Lord which revealed,
"Fear not, Abram; the almighty I-am is your
protection and your exceeding great reward." |
After these things the word of
the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not,
Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. |
| 2 And Abram prayed, "Lord
God^, what will you give me, seeing I am childless, and
the steward of my dwelling is your servant, this Eliezer
of Damascus?" |
And Abram said, LORD God, what
wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward
of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? |
| 3 Abram added, "Behold, to
me you have given no children and, lo, the one born to
the steward of my dwelling must be my heir." ..... |
| 4 Again Abram was inspired to
discern the Word, which revealed, "This will not be
your heir, but they that will be patterned after the
quintessence of your own selfhood will be your
heirs." ..... |
| 5 Now Jehovistic doctrine
brought this idea forth abroad, and illustrated to him,
"Look now toward the sweeping harmony of Being, and
count God's starry ideas, if you are able to number them;
so will your children be." ..... |
| 6 So he believed the Lord and
accounted it for righteousness. ..... |
| 7 Futhermore it was revealed to
him, "I am the Lord that brought you out of the hope
of the occult, out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give you
this mental state for an inheritance." ..... |
| 8 At which he prayed, "Lord
God, how will I know that I will inherit it?" ..... |
| 9 It was also revealed to him,
"Take unto the highest human concept of divine
reality those animal beliefs of reproduction together
with their better significations." ..... |
| 10 So he took unto him all
these, and divided them in the midst, laying each belief
one against another, but he did not divide aspirations. ..... |
| 11 And when the beliefs of one
form of life preying upon another came upon the carnal
views, Abram drove them away. ..... |
| 12 Now as Soul's symbol was
declining, a deep magnetism fell upon Abram; and, lo, an
horror of deep hypnotism fell upon him. ..... |
| 13 But it was revealed to Abram,
"Know with certainty that your children will be
strangers in a state of mind that is not theirs, yet will
be enslaved by it, and it will afflict them four hundred
years^. ..... |
| 14 "Also that nation, which
will enslave them, will the almighty I-am judge, and
afterward they will come out with great substance. ..... |
| 15 "And you will go to your
fathers in peace, enjoying longevity. ..... |
| 16 "But in the foursquare
generation they will come back here again, for the
iniquity of the Amorites is not yet self-destroyed."
..... |
| 17 It came to pass, that, when
Soul's symbol declined, and thought was dark, behold, a
smoking furnace, and a burning lamp guided Abram's
thought between those material fragments. ..... |
| 18 In the same day Abram reached
concord with the only I-am, revealing, "I have given
this state of metaphysics to your offspring, which begins
in the darkness of Egyptian thinking, but unfolds until
that great wonder of Mind, divine Science, is reached. ..... |
| 19 "Encompassing the people
of the world, including the Kenites, and the Kenizzites,
and the Kadmonites, ..... |
| 20 "And the Hittites, and
the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, ..... |
| 21 "And the Amorites, and
the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the
Jebusites." |
..... |
