THE MELCHIZEDEK BIBLE KING JAMES VERSION
GENESIS 14 GENESIS 14
It came to pass in the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar, noble Arioch, king of Ellasar, powerful Chedorlaomer, king of enduring Elam, and venerable Tidal, king of nations, And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;.
That these made war with Bera, the artful king of the domain of sensual Sodom, and with Birsha, the wicked king of ruinous Gomorrah, and Shinab, evil king of Admah, where sensual impulse reigned, and illustrious Shemeber, king of magnetic Zeboiim and the destroying king of Bela, which is afflicted Zoar. That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar. All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
All these were joined together in the depression of Siddim, which is the dead sea, or mortal mentality. All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled. Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
In the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in idolatrous Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in despotic Ham, and the Emims of Shaveh Kiriathaim in its duplicity, And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emins in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
And the primitive Horites in their caves at Mount Seir, unto El-paran, which is as a wilderness of human hopes. And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto Elparan, which is by the wilderness.
They returned and came to the judgment of En-mishpat, which is Kadesh, or sacred, and smote all the country of the laborious Amalekites, and also the bitter Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezon-tamar, a place known for the cutting down of the symbol of Life. And they returned, and came to Enmishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezontamar.
There went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar), to join battle against them in the depression of Siddim, or mortal mentality, And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim;
With Chedorlaomer, the king of Elam, and with Tidal, king of nations, and Amraphel, king of Shinar, and Arioch, king of Ellasar - the foursquare kings against the five rulers of the personal senses. With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five.
The depression of Siddim was full of the protoplasmic belief of life, but the sensuous rulers of Sodom and Gomorrah fled after failing there, and they that remained fled to higher states of thought. And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.
The four rulers took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their food, and went their way. And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.
They also took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in the thinking of Sodom, and his goods, and departed. And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
But there came one that had escaped and told Abram the Hebrew, for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner, who were confederate with Abram. And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram.
When Abram heard that his nephew was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, whose thinking was akin to his, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto the animal magnetism of Dan. And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
So at night he divided his men for the attack against them. Now he and his servants smote them, and pursued them unto their hiding place, Hobah, which is on the north of Damascus. And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
And he brought back all the goods, and also brought back again his nephew Lot, his possessions, and the women also and the people. And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
Then the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter by Chedorlaomer, and by the kings that were with him, at the Valley of Shaveh, which is the King's Valley. And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king's dale.
Yet Melchizedek^, King of Salem^, a peaceful dwelling, brought forth life and inspiration, as he was the priest^ of the most high God. And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
While blessing Abram, he said, "Blessed be Abram of the most high God^, Principle of both cause and effect; And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
"And blessed be the most high God, which has delivered your enemies into your power^." Then Abram gave him one tenth of all. And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
Now the king of Sodom said to Abram, "Let me rule the personal senses of the people and take the goods for yourself." And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have taken an oath by my power, unto the Lord, the most high God, the Principle of cause and effect, And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
"That I will not take from a thread even to a shoe latchet, so that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, 'My sensuous throne has enriched Abram,' That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
"Except only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion which belongs to the men which went with me, to Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their share." Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.
