| GENESIS 11 | GENESIS 11 |
| 1 The whole sphere of thought was of one wisdom, and of one manner of expression. | And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. |
| 2 But it came to pass, as they journeyed from the occult, from the east, that they were wholly cast off, dwelling in the beliefs of Shinar^, and it was in those beliefs that they dwelt. | And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. |
| 3 Now they declared to each other, "Come, let us have physical supports, and strengthen them thoroughly." So they replaced Truth with physical supports, and protoplasm had they for Life. | And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. |
| 4 Then they reasoned, "Come, let us organize a towering government, whose top posts may reach up to omnipotence; and let us determine our nature, lest we become an unorganized force upon the face of the whole earth." | And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. |
| 5 But Jehovistic doctrine met the towering government which the children of men had organized. | And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. |
| 6 And the Jehovistic statement was, "Behold, the people are unified, and they have their government, and this they have begun to do; and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do^. | And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. |
| 7 "Come, let scholastic theology go down, and there confound their government, that they may not understand each other's idea of it." | Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. |
| 8 So Jehovistic doctrine disorganized them throughout from thence upon the face of the entire earth, and they stopped increasing their government. | So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. |
| 9 Therefore the nature of their government is called confusion, or Babel^; because Jehovistic doctrine did there confound their government throughout human mentality; and from there did Jehovah disorganize them abroad upon the face of all the earth. | Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. |
| 10 These are the generations of Shem: two years after the flood, when Shem was an hundred years old, he fathered Arphaxad. | These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood: |
| 11 After he fathered Arphaxad, Shem lived five hundred years, fathering sons and daughters. | And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters. |
| 12 Arphaxad was thirty-five years old when fathering Salah. | And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah: |
| 13 After he fathered Salah, Arphaxad lived four hundred and three years, fathering sons and daughters. | And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters. |
| 14 When Salah was thirty years old, he fathered Eber: | And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber: |
| 15 After he fathered Eber, Salah lived four hundred and three years, fathering sons and daughters. | And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters. |
| 16 And Eber was thirty-four years old, when fathering Peleg: | And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg: |
| 17 After he fathered Peleg, Eber lived four hundred and thirty years, fathering sons and daughters. | And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters. |
| 18 And Peleg was thirty years old, when fathering Reu: | And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu: |
| 19 After he fathered Reu, Peleg lived two hundred and nine years, fathering sons and daughters. | And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters. |
| 20 And Reu was thirty-two years old, when he fathered Serug: | And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug: |
| 21 After he begat Serug, Reu lived two hundred and seven years, fathering sons and daughters. | And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters. |
| 22 And Serug was thirty years old when he fathered Nahor. | 22 And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor: |
| 23 After he begat Nahor, Serug lived two hundred years, fathering sons and daughters. | And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters. .. |
| 24 And Nahor was twenty-nine years old, when he fathered Terah: | And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah: |
| 25 After he begat Terah, Nahor lived an hundred and nineteen years, fathering sons and daughters. | And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters. |
| 26 By the time Terah was seventy years old, he had fathered Abram, Nahor and Haran. | And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran. |
| 27 Now these are the generations of Terah^: Terah fathered Abram^, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran fathered Lot^. | Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot. |
| 28 So Haran died before his father, Terah, in the beliefs of his nativity, in the hope of the Occultists. | And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees. |
| 29 Abram and Nahor married their wives; the name of Abram's wife was Sarai^; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah. | And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah. |
| 30 But Sarai was barren; she did not yet perceive God to be the only author of man and woman. | But Sarai was barren; she had no child. |
| 31 Now Tereh took Abram his son, and Lot, the son of Haran, his son's son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife, and went forth with them from the hope of occultism, to go into a state of susceptivity, at which they came to an elevated state and dwelt there. | And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there. |
| 32 The days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and Terah died at Haran, a city in Mesopotamia. | And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran. |
