| THE MELCHIZEDEK BIBLE | KING JAMES VERSION |
| GENESIS 5 | GENESIS 5 |
| 1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. By enlightenment is man seen as revealed by God - revealed as God's own likeness, | This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; |
| ^2 As both male and female, and they are blessed, but when their nature was called Adam, or mortal impulse, at that time they appeared as the counterfeit of God's man. | Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. |
| ^3 Ignorantly continuing to believe in the reversal of divine order, Adam, at 130 years of age, fathered a son in his own image and likeness, rather than in the image of God, calling him Seth, or substitute. | And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth: |
| 4 And after Adam had fathered Seth, he lived 800 years, having sons and daughters. | And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: |
| 5 Altogether Adam lived 930 years before he died. | And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. |
| 6 After Seth lived 105 years, he fathered Enos; | And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: |
| 7 After Seth had Enos, he lived 807 years, continuing to have sons and daughters. | And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: |
| 8 And Seth lived to be 912 years old before he died. | And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died. |
| 9 After Enos lived 90 years he fathered Cainan. | And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan: |
| 10 And after fathering Cainan, Enos lived 815 years, continuing to have sons and daughters. | And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters: |
| 11 When Enos was 905 years, he died. | And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died. |
| 12 And when Cainan was 70 years old, he fathered Mahalaleel. | And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel: |
| 13 After fathering Mahalaleel, Cainan lived 840 years, continuing to have sons and daughters. | And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters: |
| 14 Yet Cainan lived to be 910 years old before he died. | And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died. |
| 15 When Mahalaleel was 65 years old, he fathered Jared. | And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared: |
| 16 After fathering Jared, Mahalaleel lived 830 years, continuing to have sons and daughters. | And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters: |
| 17 And altogether Mahalaleel lived 895 years before he died. | And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died. |
| 18 When Jared was 162 years old, he fathered Enoch. | And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch: |
| 19 And after fathering Enoch, Jared lived 800 years, continuing to have sons and daughters. | And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: |
| 20 When Jared died he was 962 years old. | And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died. |
| 21 Now Enoch was 65 years old when he fathered Methuselah. | And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: |
| 22 And Enoch was dedicated to God for the three hundred years after he fathered Methuselah, continuing to have sons and daughters. | And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: |
| 23 And, in all, Enoch lived for 365 years. | And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: |
| 24 But through dedication to God, Enoch was not found to dwell in matter, for he reached at-one-ment with everlasting Life, God^. | And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. |
| 25 And when Methuselah was 187 years old, he fathered Lamech. | And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech. |
| 26 While fathering sons and daughters, Methuselah lived 782 years after having Lamech. | And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters: |
| 27 And, in all, Methuselah lived 969 years before he died. | And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died. |
| 28 When Lamech was 182 years old he fathered a son. | And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: |
| 29 And he called his name Noah^, saying, "His nature will comfort us concerning the nothingness of matter, because the curse of Jehovah is to trust in matter." | And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed. |
| 30 And, while fathering sons and daughters, Lamech lived 595 years after having Noah. | And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters: |
| 31 And, in all, Lamech lived 777 years before he died. | And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died. |
| 32 By the time Noah was 500 years old, he fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth. | And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth. |
