THE MELCHIZEDEK BIBLE
KING JAMES VERSION
Exodus 32
Exodus 32
.
.
1 When the people saw that Moses had not come down from the mountain after a long time, they gathered around Aaron and requested, "Act to make us gods who will lead us since we don't know what has happened to this Moses who brought us up out of Egypt."
This part of KING JAMES VERSION will be added later on.
2 Aaron resonded by saying, "Remove the gold earrings of your wives, your sons and your daughters, and give them to me."
.....
3 So all the earrings of the people were taken off and brought to Aaron.
.....
4 And he received them accordingly, and molded a golden bullock fashioned with a graving tool, and they believed: This is the god of Israel that brought us out of the land of Egypt.
.....
5 When seeing this, Aaron built an altar before the calf and declared, "Tomorrow there will be a festival to Jehovah."
.....
6 So the people rose early the next morning to offer burnt offerings and to bring peace offerings. Then the people sat down to eat and drink and got up to sing, dance and to amuse themselves.
.....
7 But by divine wisdom Moses was directed, "Return to the people who were brought out of a state of Egyptian bondage, because they had relapsed, corrupting God's commandments.
.....
8 "They have failed to keep the path in which the Almighty had commanded them; they have fashioned an idol - a molded bullock - and have worshipped, and have sacrificed to it, and they believe: This is your god, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt."
.....
9 Now it was revealed to Moses, "I, the one and only I-am, have discerned the heart of this people, and, behold, it is a stubborn people.
.....
10 "Now the almighty I-am is alone and my law of reversal is an all-consuming law, but, nevertheless, I will lead you to a grand and noble state."
.....
11 And Moses besought the Lord his God, seeking to know, "How does the Lord's ardent reversal act against the people, which have been brought out of a state of bondage with great power and a mighty spiritual force?
.....
12 "Will the Egyptians mockingly say, 'For mischief did their Lord bring them out to slay them in the heights, and to destroy them as features of the sphere of consciousness?' Can you not turn away this fervid reversal and reconsider any action against your people?
.....
13 "In remembrance of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you pledged an oath by your very selfhood, and revealed to them, 'I do manifest my power, multiplying your offspring as the stars of heaven, and my entire state of Mind that I have shown you, will I give to you and to your offspring, and they will inherit it forever.'"
.....
14 Now the Jehovistic doctrine directed Moses to rethink the act of reversal against the people.
.....
15 Then Moses reversed the negation of the activity of elevated thought, as the two laws of the testimony were under his power: the law of the positive interpretation of negative error which was attested to by the law of divine reality and by the belief of its reversal.
.....
16 And the law was the work of God, and the attestation was of God, deeply impressed in the law.
.....
17 Upon hearing the shouting of the people, Joshua said to Moses, "There is the sound of war in the camp."
.....
18 Moses replied, "It does not sound like victory, it sounds like the voices of defeat; I hear the sound of sadness."
.....
19 And it came to pass, as soon as he neared the level of their religious encampment, he discerned their idolatry, the golden calf, and their rejoicing over it; Moses' reversal of the image grew fierce, and the law was taken from him because the commandments were broken.
.....
20 Now he took the calf they had made and had it burned in the fire; then he ground it to powder which he scattered on the water and made the Israelites drink it.
.....
21 He demanded of Aaron, "How did these people get you to lead them into such a great sin?"
.....
22 Aaron answered, "Do not be angry, my lord, for you realize how easily tempted these people are to commit evil.
.....
23 "They requested of me, 'Make us gods to lead us. Now Moses did bring us up out of Egypt, but we don't know what has become of him.'
.....
24 "So I consented and said, 'Whoever has any gold, remove it.' Then they gave me their gold which I threw into the fire, and this calf came out!"
.....
25 Moses saw that the people were broken loose and that Aaron had let them behave shamefully, appearing foolish in the eyes of their enemies.
.....
26 Then Moses, standing at the threshold of their thought, asked, "Who is on the side of the Lord? Let him come to me," And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.
.....
27 And he said to them, "Thus revealed the Lord God of Israel, 'Come upon everyone with the idea of truth^, and go throughout the camp to correct everyone, brother, friend, and neighbor.'"
.....
28 The children of Levi did according to the word of Moses, and there fell from grace that day about three thousand.
.....
29 Then Moses declared, "Be filled with the spirit of the Lord today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, but you have been blessed this day."
.....
30 The next day Moses advised the people, "It is a great sin which you have committed; perhaps I can make an atonement for your sin by going to the Lord on your behalf."
.....
31 So Moses returned to the divine Mind, and affirmed, "Oh, this people have sinned a great sin having made gods of gold.
.....
32 "Yet, now, as they are correcting their sin, will you forgive them? But if not, let me bear the penalty of the people's sin."
.....
33 Then the Lord revealed to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Principle, that one will bear the harm.
.....
34 "Therefore now go, lead the people to the state of mind that I have shown you. Behold, my thoughts will direct you; nevertheless when I enlighten them I will negate their sin upon them."
.....
35 So the people were plagued by their disobedience to divine Principle.
