KING JAMES VERSION
Exodus 29
Exodus 29
.
.
1 "This is how you are to symbolize their consecration to me, so they may serve me in the priest's office: take a young bull and two rams without defect.
This part of KING JAMES VERSION will be added later on.
2 "And make unleavened bread, and unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil, all from fine wheat flour.
.....
3 "And you must place them in a basket and bring them in along with the bull and the two rams.
.....
4 "Bring Aaron and his sons to the portal to the tabernacle of the congregation and then wash them with water.
.....
5 "Aaron must be dressed with the garments and with the tunic, the robe of the vest, the vest and the breastplate^. He is to girded by the embroidered waistband fastening the vest on him.
.....
6 "The turban you must place on his head and set the holy crown on it.
.....
7 "And anoint^ him by pouring anointing oil on his head.
.....
8 "Then you must also bring his sons and have them dressed in tunics.
.....
9 "After putting headbands on Aaron and his sons, tie sashes on them. The priesthood is theirs by an everlasting statute. This is how you will consecrate Aaron and his sons.
.....
10 "The bull must be brought to the front of the tabernacle of the congregation, and Aaron and his sons will symbolically lay their hands on its head.
.....
11 "It must be slaughtered in the Lord's presence at the portal to the tabernacle of the congregation.
.....
12 "Some of the bull's blood^ should be put on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour out the rest of it at the bottom of the altar.
.....
13 "All the fat around the inner parts, the fatty covering of the liver, and both kidneys with their fat you will burn^ on the altar.
.....
14 "But the bull's flesh and its hide and its offal you must take outside the camp to be burned. It is a sin offering.
.....
15 "Aaron and his sons will symbolically lay their hands on the head of one of the rams.
.....
16 "You must slaughter the ram and symbolically sprinkle its blood around the altar on all of its sides.
.....
17 "The ram is to be cut into pieces and the inner parts and the legs washed, then put them with the head and the other pieces.
.....
18 "Then the entire ram is to be burned on the altar as a burnt offering to the Lord; its desirable aroma symbolizes an offering to the Lord by purification.
.....
19 "And Aaron and his sons must lay their hands on the head of the other ram.
.....
20 "After slaughtering it, symbolically put some of its blood on Aaron's and his sons' right ear lobes, and on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Then its blood must be sprinkled around the altar on all sides.
.....
21 "Next you must sprinkle some of the blood from the altar and some of the anointing oil^ on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and their garments. This will symbolize the consecration of Aaron and his sons and their garments.
.....
22 "Remove this ram's fat, the fat tail, the fat around the inner parts, the fatty covering of the liver, both kidneys and the fat around them, and the right thigh, for this ram symbolizes consecration.
.....
23 "Take a loaf and an unleavened cake made with oil, and an unleavened wafer from the basket which contains the unleavened bread, as symbols before the Lord.
.....
24 "Place all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons who must symbolically present them first to the Lord as a ceremonious offering.
.....
25 "Then you must receive them from their hands to burn them on the altar along with the burnt offering for a desirable aroma to the Lord - symbolizing an offering to the Lord by purification.
.....
26 "When you take the breast of the ram for Aaron's consecration, symbolically present it before the Lord as a ceremonial offering, and it is assigned to you.
.....
27 "Sanctify those parts of the symbolic ram that belong to Aaron and his sons; both the breast and the thigh that were presented.
.....
28 "Aaron and his sons will always receive this share from the Israelites. This is what the Israelites will provide according to their offering to the Lord.
.....
29 "These holy garments will be passed on to Aaron's descendants so that they can be anointed and consecrated in them.
.....
30 "And that son who succeeds him as priest is to put them on seven days when coming to the tabernacle of the congregation to teach Jehovistic religion.
.....
31 "The meat of the ram for the consecration must be cooked in a religious place.
.....
32 "Aaron and his sons are to ceremoniously eat the meat of the ram and the bread that is in the basket at the portal of the tabernacle of the congregation.
.....
33 "To sanctify and consecrate them, they are to eat these offerings whereby atonement was made. But a layman may not eat them, because they are holy.
.....
34 "Burn up both the leftover meat of the consecration ram and the leftover bread that is uneaten the following morning. Since it is holy, it can not be eaten.
.....
35 "And you must do everything I have commanded you to do for Aaron and his sons, taking seven days to consecrate them.
.....
36 "Each day a bull must be sacrificed as a sin offering to make atonement. Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to sanctify it.
.....
37 "Make atonement for the altar and sanctify it for seven days; and it will be an altar signified as most holy, and whatever touches it will be symbolically holy.
.....
38 "You are to offer two lambs one year old on the altar each day.
.....
39 "And you are to offer one lamb in the morning and the other in the evening.
.....
40 "In the morning offering, use with the lamb two parts of fine flour mixed with one part of oil from pressed olives, and a fourth of a carafe of wine as a drink offering.
.....
41 "The other lamb must be sacrificed in the evening with the same ceremonial offering and the same drink offering as in the morning, and its desirable aroma symbolizes an offering to the Lord by purification.
.....
42 "This ceremonial offering is to be made in the generations to come, and it is to be symbolically made at the portal to the tabernacle of congregation before the Lord. I will commune with you there;
.....
43 "There I will also commune with the Israelites, and the place will be sanctified by my glory.
.....
44 "These symbols notwithstanding, the almighty I-am will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and also will sanctify Aaron and his sons to serve in the priest's office,
.....
45 "And will embrace the children of Israel, and will be their god.
.....
46 "Now they must know that I am the Lord their God that brought them out of a state of Egyptian magnetism, so that they may be at one with me; the almighty I-am is the Lord their God."
