1 "Build an altar of acacia wood, three cubits high; make it foursquare, five cubits long by five cubits wide.
This part of KING JAMES VERSION will be added later on.
2 "Fashion a horn^ for each of its four corners in such a way that the horns^ and the altar constitute one piece, and cover the altar with brass.

3 "Use brass to make its utensils, its pans to remove the ashes, and its shovels, sprinkling bowls, fleshhooks and firepans.

4 "Use brass to make a grate for it, and use brass to fashion a ring at each of the four corners of the grate.

5 "Place it under the platform of the altar so that the grate will be in the middle of the altar.
.....
6 "Use acacia wood to make shafts for the altar and cover them with brass.
.....
7 "The shafts should be inserted into its rings so they will be on both sides of the altar for carrying it.

8 "The altar should be made hollow, out of boards. It is to symbolize what you were shown in revelation.

9 "Provide a courtyard for the tabernacle. The south side will be an hundred cubits long having curtains of finely embroidered linen,

10 "Use twenty brass bases for twenty pillars and fashion silver hooks and bands for the pillars.

11 "Also make the north side an hundred cubits long and provide curtains, with twenty pillars and twenty brass bases and with silver hooks and bands on the pillars.

12 "Make the west end of the courtyard fifty cubits wide having curtains with ten pillars and ten bases.

13 "Make the courtyard fifty cubits wide at the east end, toward the sunrise.
.....
14 "Hang curtains fifteen cubits long on one side of the entrance, with three pillars and three bases,

15 "And hang curtains fifteen cubits long on the other side, with three pillars and three bases.

16 "At the portal to the courtyard place a curtain twenty cubits long made of blue, purple and scarlet fiber and finely embroidered linen, with four pillars and four bases.

17 "Have silver bands and hooks, and brass bases for all the pillars around the courtyard.

18 "Make the courtyard an hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide, with curtains of finely entwined linen five cubits high, and make them with brass bases.

19 "Use brass for all the other items used in the service of the tabernacle, including all its tent pegs and those for the courtyard,

20 "And command that the Israelites bring you pure oil pressed out of olives for the light so that the lamps may always be burning^.

21 "In the tabernacle of the congregation, outside the veil that is in front of the testimony, Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps trimmed before the Lord from evening till morning. This is to be an eternal observance among the Israelites for the future generations."
