THE MELCHIZEDEK BIBLE
KING JAMES VERSION
Exodus 26
Exodus 26
.
.
1 Moreover, when symbolizing my tabernacle, use ten curtains of linen tapestry, and blue, purple and scarlet fiber, and with skill embroider there a representation of God's thoughts as you would.
This part of KING JAMES VERSION will be added later on.
2 Each curtain must be twenty-eight cubits long and four cubits wide.
.....
3 Join the curtains together - one to another - with five joined as a unit and five of the others as a unit.
.....
4 And make loops of blue fabric on the edge of the end curtain at the coupling, and do the same in the outermost edge of the other curtain,
.....
5 Continue by making fifty loops for each group of curtains and provide that the loops be opposite each other.
.....
6 Then make fifty clasps of gold to fasten the curtains together as one continous whole.
.....
7 And then use goats' hair to make eleven curtains for a covering over the tabernacle.
.....
8 The eleven curtains are to be thirty cubits in length and four cubits in breadth - one in size.
.....
9 Then couple five curtains together, and six curtains together, doubling the sixth curtain at the front of the covering of the tabernacle.
.....
10 Make fifty loops along the edge of the end curtains in both groups.
.....
11 Then make fifty brass fasteners and place them through the loops to hold the covering of the tabernacle together as one structure.
.....
12 As for the remaining half curtain that is left over, it will hang down in the back of the tabenacle.
.....
13 The curtains of the covering will be a full cubit longer on each side, and that which is left will hang down on the sides of the tabernacle to cover it.
.....
14 Make a canopy for the tabernacle out of red sheep leather and above that a covering of badger skin, to exclude the light.
.....
15 And make upright supports of acacia wood for the tabernacle.
.....
16 Both supports are to be made ten cubits in length and a cubit and a half in width.
.....
17 There will be two cantilevers parallel to each other. All the supports of the tabernacle are to be made this way.
.....
18 Include twenty supports for the south side of the tabernacle,
.....
19 And forty silver bases are to be set under them, two under each support and one under each cantilever.
.....
20 For the north side of the tabernacle, make twenty supports,
.....
21 Providing for forty silver bases with two under each support.
.....
22 Make six supports for the west end of the tabernacle,
.....
23 And make two supports for its corners.
.....
24 Now at these two corners you must make them double from top to bottom, and fit them into a single ring; make them both the same.
.....
25 These end supports will be eight in number with sixteen silver bases - two under each support.
.....
26 Also make crossbars of acacia wood: five for the supports on one side of the tabernacle,
.....
27 And five crossbars for the supports on the other side and five on the west side at the end of the tabernacle.
.....
28 And the middle crossbar is to extend the length between the supports.
.....
29 The crossbars and supports are to be overlaid with gold, and make rings of gold to hold the crossbars in place.
.....
30 And you will erect the symbolic tabernacle according to the pattern shown you in revelation.
.....
31 Make a veil of blue, purple and scarlet^ fiber and finely embroidered linen, and skillfully fashion there a symbol of God's thoughts as you would.
.....
32 Using hooks of gold, place the veil on four supports of acacia wood which are to be covered with gold and standing on four silver bases.
.....
33 Hang the veil from the hooks and place the chest of the testimony behind the veil. The veil is to symbolize the division between "superficial religion^" and God's presence.
.....
34 Provide for the forgiveness of sin above the place of the law in the presence of Mind.
.....
35 Symbolically place the table outside the veil on the north side of the tabernacle and put the candlestick across from it on the south side.
.....
36 And for the portal of the covering, place a curtain made of blue, purple and scarlet^, and embroidered linen.
.....
37 Make five supports of acacia wood for this curtain, cover them with gold and provide gold hooks for hanging curtain; also cast five brass bases for them.
