This part of KING JAMES VERSION will be added later on.
2 "If you buy an Hebrew servant, he will serve you for no more than six years, and in the seventh year he must be liberated without cost^.
.....
3 "If he came into servitude unmarried, he must go out by himself; if he were married before entering servitude, then his wife must be allowed to go out with him.
.....
4 "If his master had given him a wife, and she had sons or daughters by him, then the wife and her children will still be her master's, but he may go free by himself.
.....
5 "Yet if the servant will plainly state, 'I love my master, my wife and my children; I do not care to go free^,'
.....
6 "Then his master will bring him before an inquiry by the judges; he will also bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master will bore his ear through with an awl^, thereafter he must serve his master forever.
.....
7 "If a man sells his daughter as a maidservant^, she cannot be freed like menservants are.
.....
8 "If she does not please her master, who had chosen her for himself, then he must let her be redeemed; he has no right to sell her to a foreigner, since his promise to her was in vain.
.....
9 "And if he had chosen her for his son, he must give her the privileges of a daughter.
.....
10 "If he marries yet another woman^, he remains bound to provide the first wife her food, her raiment and her marital rights.
.....
11 "Now if he does not provide for her at least these three things, then she can leave free, but without money.
.....
12 "Whoever smites anyone to the end that that one dies, must surely forfeit^ life also.
.....
13 "Nevertheless, if it is done unintentionally, happening by the logic of events, a place will be appointed to which he may flee.
.....
14 "But if anyone comes upon his neighbour to slay him with guile and premeditation, that one's life will be forfeited^ and removed from communion with me.
.....
15 "Anyone that smites a parent^ must surely forfeit their own life.
.....
16 "And anyone who kidnaps another, and either sells, or is found with that one, will surely be put to death.
.....
17 "And anyone who curses a parent^ will be put to death.
.....
18 "And if some strive together, and one smite another with a weapon, or with a fist, and the victim dies not, but cannot leave his house,
.....
19 "Yet if the victim rise again, and walk abroad upon a staff, then will the one that smote the victim be absolved of murder, but must pay damages; the aggressor must only pay for the loss of time, and will see to it that the victim is thoroughly healed.
.....
20 "And if someone smite their servant, or maid with a weapon, and death results by their own hand, the aggressor will surely be punished.
.....
21 "Notwithstanding, if the servant is well within a day or two, the aggressor will not be punished, for the loss of the servant's work is equal to punishment.
.....
22 "If, while fighting, some harm a woman with child so that she experiences a miscarriage, yet no other complications follow, they will be surely punished, according as the woman's husband demands and he must pay it unless the judges determine otherwise.
.....
23 "And if there's more than the loss of the child, then will be given life for life^,
.....
24 "Forfeiture according to forfeiture^.
.....
25 "Measure for measure^.
.....
26 "And if someone smite the eye of their servant, or the eye of their maid, that it perish; the servant or maid will be set free because of the loss of their eye.
.....
27 "And if someone smite out their manservant's tooth, or their maidservant's tooth; they will be set free for the loss of the tooth.
.....
28 "If a bull gore a man or a woman that they die, then the bull will be surely stoned, and the flesh of the bull will not be eaten, but the owner of the bull will not be held responsible.
.....
29 "But if the bull had been known to attack with his horn before, and his owner had been advised, having not kept him penned in, yet he had killed a man or a woman, the bull will be stoned and his owner also will be put to death^.
.....
30 "Nevertheless, if payment for damages is demanded, then the responsible party will be allowed to give that amount for his life in whatever amount is presented.
.....
31 "This is the law, whether it is a son or a daughter that had been gored.
.....
32 "If the bull will gore a manservant or a maidservant, their master will receive thirty shekels of silver^ from the owner, and the bull will be put away.
.....
33 "If a anyone opens a pit or will dig one, not covering it, and an ox or a donkey falls in to it,
.....
34 "The one responsible for the pit must reimburse the owner of them for any loss, and the dead animal belongs to the one liable.
.....
35 "If one's bull hurt another's so that death results, then they must sell the surviving bull and divide the money from the sale of it, and they must divide the dead bull also.
.....
36 "Nevertheless, if it had been known that the bull gored in times past, and his owner had not kept him penned in, then payment must be made bull for bull and the dead animal will belong to the responsible party.
